Where is Durdle Door Beach?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Durdle Door Beach is located just east of Weymouth, Dorset<\/a>, on the Lulworth Estate. The nearest villages are either West Lulworth or Lulworth Cove, both of which have pubs, so you can stop and get some tasty food.<\/p>\n

It is a dog-friendly beach<\/a> at all times of the year, and boasts some of the best views of Jurassic Coast<\/a> rock formations that you\u2019ll find anywhere.<\/p>\n

It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Weymouth to Durdle Door Beach. You can also get there by public transport, via the X54 Jurassic Coaster<\/a>, which stops at the entrance to Durdle Door Holiday Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you plan on arriving by foot, the South West Coast Path<\/a> runs directly above the beach.<\/p>\n

The beach car park is located a ten to 15-minute walk, down a steep hill which guests must walk back up on their way home. At the bottom of the path, there are 143 steep stone steps leading down to the beach.<\/p>\n

The path is made of stone, and due to the incline, is not recommended for wheelchair users, small children or anyone else who needs mobility assistance.<\/p>\n

You should also wear sensible footwear when visiting the beach, such as trainers or walking boots, not sandals or flip-flops.<\/p>\n
