Many of those guests arrive for the amazing landscape, whilst many more come for the delicious fresh food on offer. However, the majority arrive for one thing: Dorset\u2019s legendary beaches.<\/p>\n<p>Covering everything from fossil-laden stone beaches to soft, golden sands, there\u2019s a Dorset beach for everyone. Here are some of our favourites:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lulworth Cove, Lulworth \u2013 <\/strong>Just east of Lyme Regis is one of Dorset\u2019s best known and most beloved natural features \u2013 Lulworth Cove. A beautiful white pebble beach with crystal clear blue waters and a natural shape which offers total protection from tough sea conditions, making it ideal for families with less than confident swimmers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Weymouth Beach, Weymouth \u2013<\/strong> A popular tourist spot, Weymouth Beach is a vast curving arc of golden sand that\u2019s adjacent to the town centre. Boasting safe shallow waters and plenty to see and do along the beachfront, you\u2019ll adore the activities on offer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cobb Beach, Lyme Regis \u2013<\/strong> The Cobb is one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lymebayholidays.co.uk\/blog\/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-cobb-lyme-regis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">most famous man-made structures in Dorset<\/a>, acting as the setting for Jane Austen\u2019s Persuasion and its many television and film adaptations since. The beach that sits alongside it though is equally iconic, forming part of the picturesque harbour, the Cobb Beach is a stunning pebble beach with plenty to see and do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Durdle Door, Lulworth \u2013 <\/strong>One of the south coast\u2019s most iconic rock formations, Durdle Door is a vast arch out into the ocean with a gorgeous shingle and sand beach alongside it. It\u2019s the perfect spot for photographers and families, with excellent waters for swimming throughout most of the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monmouth Beach, Lyme Regis \u2013 <\/strong>Trade in pebbles for soft, golden sands at Monmouth Beach. Also found in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lymebayholidays.co.uk\/lyme-regis-holiday-cottages.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lyme Regis<\/a>, Monmouth Beach is a delightful spot for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lymebayholidays.co.uk\/blog\/dog-walking-routes-in-dorset\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">walk with the dog<\/a>, a picnic in the sunshine or just a little good, old-fashioned, sunbathing in one of England\u2019s most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lymebayholidays.co.uk\/blog\/historic-spots-to-visit-in-dorset\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">historic holidaying locations<\/a>. Boasting warm soft sand, oodles of space and beautiful structures all along the beachside, it\u2019s a great day out for the whole family.
