“Lovely location and cottage warm and accommodating.”
We had a really lovely stay but unfortunately, the cleanliness of the cottage was not up to the standard that I would expect for the cost of the stay. Attention to detail required: Outer front doormat and outside front door area had not been swept and the mat was filthy. Freezer compartment dirty. Washing up bowl ancient and looked horrible. Clock on wall in kitchen not working. A smell like vinegar permeated the cottage for several days - unsure if this was the cleaning product used, but was not pleasant.
The location was perfect but the lack of advice given from the agency regarding parking was very poor. It does make you aware that there is no parking on-site but if fails to tell you that when you arrive you go down a narrow lane which ends in a ford. Therefore, the only way out of the lane is to reverse. This should have been made clear as at the end of a 5 hour journey, this was very stressful.
Also, the agency never mention the sidegate to the property as well as the main gate. The main gate sign only had 1 Lymbrook Cottage, not 1-4 which would have been helpful.
A lovely stay but a little more thought about detail needed

The property
A pretty artisans' cottage situated in Jericho, a lane in the heart of Lyme Regis by the River Lym.
A picturesque five minute riverside walk through the Old Town to the town centre and seafront, makes Jericho one of the most sought after locations in Lyme Regis. It is one, of four former mill worker's cottages, built in the 19th century, and the property provides a cosy and comfortable retreat for couples or small families. Sympathetically refurbished, it retains some lovely character features, including an original window seat and a feature fireplace with woodburning stove. A south facing , enclosed shared garden to the front has a place to sit and relax and listen to the sounds of the river.
A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. A charming cottage in a great location and a good base to enjoy a traditional cottage holiday in this popular seaside resort.
