Sykes never got back to me from last March 2023 when we had a problem with the Key safe code (you gave us the wrong code number) and I’m still awaiting a reply from you from last week regarding the TV not working and the damp walls in the bedrooms, in the end we had to go to the local Lyme Bay Holidays and speak to a “person” who were very helpful

I was informed by Lyme Bay of an issue with the tv reception which often happens in poor weather as we're in the bottom of the valley. The television is brand new and was working perfectly when I checked it a couple of days before your arrival. It was working perfectly when you left so definitely a transmitter issue. Saying that, It's a Smart TV and very complicated and it took me 20 minutes to remove the option of subtitles that you had put on. Consequently I've swapped it with a same size LCD TV which is much easier to navigate round. As to the damp walls, I suspect they were cold as the flat has been locked up for our winter lockdown. I deep cleaned the property during this shutdown and redecorated but missed some flaking paint around the mirror in bedroom 1 - this has now been redecorated. I had the heaters on prior to opening again in March but obviously not long enough to make the flat not feel cold. Next year I'll get the heaters on a week before we open.
