    “Waverley is a lovely cottage in a great position on Sherborne Lane minutes from the high street and seafront in fabulous Lyme Regis.”

    Very comfortable, great facilities and perfect layout for a relaxing family holiday. The outdoor space is excellent for al fresco dining and chilling out after the beach and fossil museums. It’s also a perfect position for River Lym walks and the Marine Parade gardens. We would definitely book again.

The property

Quietly situated on Sherborne Lane in the heart of Lyme Regis, Waverley lies just five minutes walk from the seafront. A secluded pedestrian lane within easy reach of the town centre and the nearby River Lym walk Sherbone Lane is a pleasant mix of quaint and colourful period cottages of individual character and style. The independent shops, restaurants and galleries are only two minutes’ walk away making this an ideal base from which to explore this historic and picturesque seaside town. The cottage has been recently refurbished and modernised but retains much character and style. A light and open plan living area with log burner leads out onto a raised decked veranda with some lovely views out over the rooftops of Lyme Regis. Steps down from the veranda take you to an enclosed courtyard seating area. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with a bathroom and a recent addition of a shower room on the ground floor. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. With the beaches, Langmoor Gardens and many tourist attractions only five minutes' walk this is a delightful cottage for families or couples looking for a relaxing stay in this beautiful part of Dorset.
