“We enjoyed our week at your house, lovely house and well maintained garden.”

Great location. Just a couple of things to mention.....the tap in kitchen was very loose and we had to keep tightening it under sink, surely this should have been a maintenance issue. Also the large black domestic bin outside was already full up and obviously had not been emptied from previous guests. My son managed to push the rubbish down but we had to leave a bag of rubbish by the bin when we put the rubbish out. Unfortunately the seagulls attacked the bag and rubbish spewed over the road. A lady opposite had to clean up the rubbish and understandably was not happy. Also oven gloves would have been useful.

Apologies that you arrived to the bin full of the previous guests' rubbish, this can sometimes happen as the property is on a commercial collection schedule, and does rely on departing guests putting out the bin for collection. “We were absolutely delighted with the house.”

It was beautifully appointed and we felt very much at home. It was lovely and quiet and just a short walk to the beach and a slightly longer walk up to the shops and pubs. The only minor niggle was that there weren't any shaver sockets in the bathrooms but there was one in the bedroom with the washbasin. As keen gardeners we loved the garden, there was such a wide variety of shrubs and perennials and the roses were beautiful. A previous comment was that the garden wasn't dog friendly as there's a small gap either side of the gates but for our golden retriever it wasn't a problem.

I don't think your photo's do justice to the desirability of your property. Everything that we could have wished for and more. Lovely garden and only a few minuets walk from the beach. Secure locked parking a bonus too. Your beds are so comfortable, I wonder if you could tell me the make of the mattress so I may order one for myself. First time I have slept without back pain for years!

“Fabulous property, clean and well equipped.”

. Only 4 minor issues 1 kitchen tap.. noticed that this had been mentioned in the visitors book back in September 2. Garden lovely but not dog friendly as gaps either side of the big gate. 3. The light carpet downstairs is not really practical for 6 people.and a dog. 4. The waste bins need to be checked when people leave.. it was full when we arrived.. we had to take most of our rubbish to a public bin Please note that these are small issues that we would not normally mention but they would make Pembroke absolutely perfect and have only let you know as you have asked for feedback. We actually tried to book for next year while we were there but we were unlucky as it had already been booked

“Great place.”

We know Charmouth extremely well having been holidaying there for decades. This house was perfect for our needs this time being very near the beach and had every thing we needed as three same family couples. Only improvement that could be made was the parking provision which took a little bit of driving skill to get a mondeo and focus sized estate cars in behind the closed wooden gates and off the lane as requested, otherwise, perfect.

Minor issues to a property that was beyond expectations quite perfect. Shame the neighbours could not read sign saying 'Do not park in this area' making it tricky to safely get through gate

The property

A spacious and elegant family home situated only a few minutes’ walk from the famous fossil beach in the coastal village of Charmouth. Located on a private no through road, Pembroke has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and offers everything required for a relaxing family holiday. The well designed kitchen flows through to a large dining room with adjoining sun room. The spacious lounge is bright yet cosy with an open fire and views over the front gardens. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, with the two master bedrooms sharing a connecting balcony which makes the most of the coastal views; the perfect spot to sit and unwind. The large enclosed gardens wrap around this delightful house and provide an alfresco dining area at the rear along with lawn surrounded by mature trees, shrubs and cottage style planting. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. The village pubs, shops and restaurants are all within a short walk and with off-road parking for two cars this makes this an excellent base to enjoy this beautiful part of the Jurassic Coast.
