The property

This large, high quality family home has been built in a traditional thatched style to offer modern amenities in a most attractive house. Located on a small select development in the village of Uplyme, about 2 miles from the seafront in Lyme Regis, the house has been equipped to a very high standard. Built into the hillside it offers some attractive views out across the Lym Valley. In the village there is a general store, childrens playground and a public house which serves good food and a pleasant riverside walk of about 30 minutes leads to Lyme Regis town and beach. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. A games room in the converted garage makes this an ideal family holiday home any time of the year. Please note: A maximum of two dogs are accepted. The area was chosen by TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall for his River Cottage HQ at Park Farm, where you can treat yourself to a great meal. Just a short drive takes you to the stunning Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis. This delightful historic seaside town boasts a maze of narrow streets, with an interesting array of shops and cafes, whilst the sandy beach lends itself to great bathing and watersports, and the bustling little harbour offers regular fishing trips, or try your hand at fossil hunting. Within an easy drive is the quaint town of Axminster, or how about a ride on the Seaton Tramway? A glorious location for a varied and interesting holiday.
