    “Lovely property, really spacious with comfortable furniture and no traffic noise despite being close to a road.”

    Close to the town centre which is within walking distance (although it's uphill all the way back :) and there are walks from the doorstep. I did part of the coast path which took in coast and woodland and I also visited the Donkey Sanctuary, which is free parking and entry and has a great cafe. I was only there for 2 full days so no time to do anything else. My only negative was that there was a strong smell of mould in the bathroom which I bought an airfreshener to mask. I did mention this in ...

The property is set near the owner's home, an iconic Water Tower conversion in an elevated position on the western outskirts of the Victorian seaside town of Seaton. Outside, guests have a private patio with seating and full use of a large lawn area and there is a balcony on the first floor which offers views over the Devon countryside. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. A variety of shops, pubs and restaurants in this small Devon town are within a few minutes drive or a walk of around a mile and a half for the more adventurous. Explore the stunning Axe Estuary and Wetlands, abundant with bird and wildlife, or why not visit the unique Seaton Tramway. The beach is perfect for watersports with sailing, windsurfing and paddleboarding available in the bay. The picturesque fishing village of Beer, just a five minutes drive, is host to the famous Pecorama and Quarry Caves and self-drive motor boats can be hired from the beach. With the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth within 15 minutes by car this property is a great base for discovering this recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Seaton is a seaside town in East Devon on the south coast. It faces onto Lyme Bay, to the west of the mouth of the River Axe with red cliffs to one side and white cliffs on the other. Axmouth and Beer are nearby. A sea wall provides access to the mostly shingle beach stretching for about a mile, and a small harbour. Seaton is on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the town offers a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs.
