“House was v clean and tidy throughout.”

We had a lovely few days with my Parents. The Anchor pub and the beach at Seatown was a 20 min walk away and we were very close to Lyme, Charmouth & West Bay. Lots of footpaths v close by to walk the dogs. Trees- The house is quite dark, poss due to lots of overgrown trees but also the weather at this time of year didn’t help. We couldn’t use the garden due to the weather, but I think it would be lovely in the dry/Summer. Driveway - the info regarding the access to the driveway is ...

We had a lovely few days with my Parents. The Anchor pub and the beach at Seatown was a 20 min walk away and we were very close to Lyme, Charmouth & West Bay. We couldn’t use the garden due to the weather, but I think it would be lovely in the dry/Summer. Driveway - the info regarding the access to the driveway is correct in that its only suitable for med sized cars. We had a Honda CRV and a Peugeot SUV and managed absolutely fine. Heating - this was v high and the radiators were in a ‘locked’ state so couldn’t be adjusted so some info about how to reduce them in the info pack would have been useful. Roof Leak - there is a tracking roof leak in the kitchen, which leaked quite a lot due to the amount of rain-looks likes its been there a while so would have been useful to have this info with details of when it is being addressed.

Hi Hannah. Thank you so much for your feed back it is much appreciated. We are so sorry about the heating, the radiators are brand new and we thought that we had set them up correctly and we left the instructions in the folder in the kitchen cupboard. We thought that we had also left them unlocked. We are aware of the kitchen roof and it is in fact being completely replaced at the end of November, this was the earliest that we could get the builders in, and we wanted to get it replaced before the winter, we hope it did not ruin your holiday too much. Otherwise we are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

About the location

CHIDEOCK

Bridport 2 miles. Lyme Regis 7 miles. West Bay 4 miles.

The pretty village of Chideock (pronounced Chiddick) can be found straddling the main A35 road between Bridport and Honiton, in glorious West Dorset. Many of the quaint cottages lining the road are constructed of cob and the honey-coloured local sandstone. Lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the area has plenty of lovely walks, whilst just 1 mile away is Dorset's Jurassic Coast, famed for its fossils and ease of finding them, where a walk along the coastal path affords spectacular views across the sparkling waters of Lyme Bay towards Portland, Chesil beach and the Dorset coast. A short drive east takes you to the ancient rope-making town of Bridport, and the harbour at West Bay, or venture west to visit the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis. An excellent holiday base from which to explore this scenic area.
