The heart of this popular and attractive Dorset town is just a five minutes walk away, where you will find a number of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and specialist privately owned shops. Surrounded by stunning countryside and close to Lewesdon Hill, the highest point in the County of Dorset, the property is perfect for dog walkers, ramblers or trail cyclists. Beaminster is also home to the famous Mapperton House with its beautiful gardens. With the coast at West Bay just a 10-15 minutes drive, this is a wonderful base to enjoy all that Dorset has to offer, ideal for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year.
Please note: Supervision of younger children is required in the rear garden, due to the small stream. A maximum of 3 pets accepted.

There's plenty going on in the pretty market town of Beaminster. Designated an important area of conservation, and also famous as the setting for Thomas Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles, this is an idyllic place to stroll and shop - and being located at the head of the River Brit's peaceful Hidden Valley, a memorable area known for its wildlife and water mills, means no shortage of glorious and tranquil walks to enjoy.
When it comes to food there's a plethora of fine choice in Beaminster, whether it's a spot of sea bass at the award-winning Bridge House Hotel or a good, home-made pub lunch at The Hare and Hounds with its gorgeous views of the Brit Valley. And if you really want to get out and about, there are events aplenty: Beaminster Festival of Music & The Arts, dog shows, food fairs, Easter trails and performances of Shakespeare to name just a few!
Prices and Availability
As a general rule, short breaks are always available outside of peak summer and school holiday weeks, though this will vary per property and will be specified if different from this. Short break availability will automatically show on the booking calendar, normally within two weeks of the start date if within peak season.
