Description and Location
This charming former Victorian farmhouse is located on the beautiful and historic Rousdon Estate set on the rugged Jurassic coastline mid-way between Lyme Regis and Seaton. Recently refurbished to a high standard the property has been sympathetically restored and boasts many period features. Offering spacious and very comfortable family holiday accommodation in a wonderful setting, the area is a haven for wildlife and the estate grounds, with about 350 acres of pasture and woodlands, has access via a very steep footpath to a private beach. Lyme Regis is about 5 minutes away by car.
Please note: A maximum of two dogs are accepted. A £100 refundable security deposit is required for all bookings. This property does not accept short breaks between Easter and end of September.

If you really want to escape the treadmill and wind down in complete peace, few locations are as perfect as Rousdon. At 500 feet above sea-level the walks and views are breath-taking, and the village bakery & coffee house and the famous Dower House Hotel are open for meals, drinks and light refreshments. Or you could venture the two miles to Lyme Regis and sample some of the many restaurant options, such as seafood at Hix Fish & Oyster House. Nearby Axminster, home to the famous River Cottage HQ, is also worth a visit.

As a general rule, short breaks are always available outside of peak summer and school holiday weeks, though this will vary per property and will be specified if different from this. Short break availability will automatically show on the booking calendar, normally within two weeks of the start date. If you are unable to find your required dates then please contact us on 01297 443363 or email@example.com and the sales team will be able to advise on any flexibility on the standard breaks.
Our standard short breaks are:-
3 nights weekend break – Friday to Monday (Friday changeover property) or Saturday to Tuesday (Saturday changeover property)
4 nights midweek break – Monday to Friday (Friday changeover property) or Tuesday to Saturday (Saturday changeover property)
