Situated on the beautiful and historic Rousdon Estate this delighful conversion has been fully renovated and refurbished to provide high quality accommodation, on this grand country estate.

It has a wealth of character with some wonderful features including exposed beams, stone walls and a vaulted ceiling. The open plan living space opens onto a mainly lawn garden, at the rear, and there are two double bedrooms. Just a couple of miles from Lyme Regis the Estate is set on the rugged Jurassic coastline, nestled above the spectacularly unspoilt natural canopy of the Undercliff.

The area is a haven for wildlife and the estate grounds, with 350 acres of pastures and woodlands, allows access via a very steep footpath to a private beach. An ideal property for those looking for a wonderfully peaceful setting within easy reach of the coast.

A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea, coffee and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats.


Please note: A maximum of two dogs are accepted. Dogs are charged at £20 each per week (or part week).

If you really want to escape the treadmill and wind down in complete peace, few locations are as perfect as Rousdon. At 500 feet above sea-level the walks and views are breath-taking, and the village bakery & coffee house and the famous Dower House Hotel are open for meals, drinks and light refreshments. Or you could venture the two miles to Lyme Regis and sample some of the many restaurant options, such as seafood at Hix Fish & Oyster House. Nearby Axminster, home to the famous River Cottage HQ, is also worth a visit.
