    “The front door was difficult to open on numerous occasions, the hot water was not hot enough to have a bath, a really awkward step into the lounge by the kitchen which has been padded out by a rug, we still tripped.”

    The sofa was too low. We used the downstairs bed which was far too high and nowhere to hang coats by the front door only under the stairs. The kitchen was modern if a bit overblown for a cottage.

    Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to see that the property was not to your liking. Regarding the hot water, we have had our maintenance team attend twice to see if any fault can be resolved. None was found but like with most hot water supplies, the taps need to not be opened all the way to allow the boiler to keep up with the demand and deliver lovely hot water. The property is not a new build but rather a very characterful cottage and with this comes slightly uneven levels which we feel adds to the charm of the building. The property boasts many modern furnishings including the Chesterfield style sofa and double bed downstairs. We appreciate that a mattress can be a tricky item to please everyone, but the owner has taken great care to purchase a mattress that we hope appeals to nearly all guests. We like our properties to be a home-from-home for our customers and the owners have ensured this with Blacksmiths Cottage, with the idea to have guests wanting for nothing. With parking for one car this is a fabulous base for those looking to explore this wonderful part of World heritage coastline.
