New for 2021 - A stylish and beautifully presented holiday cottage located in the popular seaside village of Charmouth on the UNESCO world heritage Jurassic coastline.

The three bedroom cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and provides excellent family accommodation only 15 minutes’ walk from the beach and shops. French patio doors open from the spacious living areas onto a pretty rear garden which enjoys some far reaching countryside views. A raised decked seating area is a great vantage point to sit with a morning cup of coffee and watch the sun come up over Golden Cap and beach below.

Perfect for a traditional seaside holiday, Charmouth boasts an unspoilt beach and superb coastal walks as well as a good range of village shops. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats.


Please note

  • Due to its age there are some ceilings with restricted headroom in parts of cottage
  • The cottage has a steep staircase with open tread stairs and open to one side, so extra care should be taken by the young or infirm. Stairgates will not fit the staircase
  • Supervision of younger children will be required in the garden due to the raised seating areas and various levels

About Dorset (Charmouth)

Considered a gateway to the World Heritage Site, Charmouth has one of the finest fossil beaches in Europe. The Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront is the best place to discover more about the area's dramatic geology, pick up fossil-hunting tips or get involved in the many natural history activities that run year-round, from fossil-finding weekends to rock-pool rambles.

You could even visit the towering Black Ven cliff, between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, where Mary Anning famously discovered the first ichthyosaur skeleton when she was just 12 years of age. Follow in Mary's footsteps and keep your eyes open for Ammonites, Belemnites, ichthyosaur bones and the interestingly named Devil's Toenails!

Not interested in fossil-hunting? Then why not try a spot of sea-fishing (the area is rich in bass) or some walking (perhaps through the stunning, unspoiled National Trust estate of Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast). And if all you want to do is kick back in the sun, then head for East Beach, with its golden, pebbly sand and river lagoon.

The village itself is relaxed and picturesque, and there are several good pubs, cafes and restaurants which cater to all tastes. So whether you fancy some fresh, sustainable seafood or a traditional English breakfast, there'll be something to satisfy just a short stroll away.
