A beautifully presented property enjoying the most wonderful views over the picturesque fishing village of Beer.

The open plan layout has been given much thought and consideration with the living areas situated on the first floor to make the most of its enviable views. Large bi-fold doors flood the living area with light and open from the comfortable seating area onto a full width adjoining balcony with small table and chairs; a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or morning coffee.

The three bedrooms are located on the ground floor with the master bedroom having an ensuite shower room and views over the garden, village and coast. Two further bedrooms, a twin and a bunk bedroom make this a popular choice for couples and families alike. The front garden offers additional outside seating for alfresco dining or simply to sit while the children play on the lawn.

A ten minute walk will take you into Beer itself with its charming selection of individual shops, galleries and eateries. The family friendly shingle beach with its iconic limestone cliffs is a perfect spot for swimming and water sports or simply watching the fishermen launching their boats from the shore.

The many footpaths and south west coastal footpath make this a popular choice for walkers with the cliff top paths offering breath-taking views along the Jurassic coast.

About Devon (Beer)

This charming fishing village in south-east Devon grew up around a smugglers' cove and its fascinating history makes it popular with visitors - particularly exciting is the story of smuggler Jack Rattenbury, nicknamed "Rob Roy of the West".

Visit the famous Beer Quarry Caves, where 19th century smugglers like Jack would store contraband, and which are the main source in England for Beer stone, used in the construction of many cathedrals and churches and even in Buckingham Palace. A large part of Beer's history revolved around the making of lace, and former customers have included Queen Victoria (the flounce for her wedding dress was made here) and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Today the main feature of Beer life is fishing, and since there is no harbour it is a daily occurrence to see boats winched up the beach using steel cables. Be sure to sample some of their haul in one of the delightful restaurants that dot the area, or hire a motor-boat and try some mackerel-fishing for yourself!

For those who like to walk, a visit to the Jubilee Gardens with a pretty view over village and cove is bound to please, and from there you can follow the brook through the town and down to the sea. The saying goes that you are not a true Beer local until you have fallen into the brook... perhaps more likely after a spot of ale at one of the local pubs!

If visiting Beer in August you might catch the bustling Regatta Week, packed with events for all the family, from sailing to skittles and from fancy dress to fireworks. With its ever-warm welcome and abundance of local colour, there is plenty in Beer to capture your curiosity.
