Bonhays Cottages and Retreat is a secluded holiday complex comprising of 3 cottages in the village of Whitchurch Canonicorum set in the West Dorset hills.
The village has a rich history as a pilgrimage site and the area is ideal for walkers as it is criss-crossed by footpaths and bridleways to the surrounding forest, farmland and beaches. The famous fossil beach at Charmouth is less than 10 minutes away by car and Lyme Regis is within 5 miles.
Straw Cottage at Bonhays is one of two adjoining characterful cottages. The comfortable open plan living space enjoys a pleasant outlook over the communal gardens allowing you to fully appreciate the rural setting. The two bedrooms make this an ideal choice for families looking for a tranquil holiday yet within easy travelling distance of the coast.
Bonhays has been promoting a more innovative ecological approach for over a decade, with a bird-friendly and non-polluting willow bed waste water system, straw bale construction and other unique features.
