Quietly situated in the village of Charmouth, this attractive family house offers stunning views along the Jurassic coastline.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the property has been refurbished and furnished to provide very high quality holiday accommodation. The house is arranged to take full advantage of its elevated position, with the main living areas on the first floor leading onto a large sun terrace, all offering excellent views of Golden Cap and around Lyme Bay to Portland.

A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. The village amenities including the beach, pubs, restaurants and shops are all about a ten to fifteen minute walk away. This is an ideal base for enjoying a quiet, relaxing, seaside holiday.


Please note: The property is available from 4pm on day of arrival. Supervision of younger children will be required on the terrace and its external staircase.

About Dorset (Charmouth)

Considered a gateway to the World Heritage Site, Charmouth has one of the finest fossil beaches in Europe. The Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront is the best place to discover more about the area's dramatic geology, pick up fossil-hunting tips or get involved in the many natural history activities that run year-round, from fossil-finding weekends to rock-pool rambles.

You could even visit the towering Black Ven cliff, between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, where Mary Anning famously discovered the first ichthyosaur skeleton when she was just 12 years of age. Follow in Mary's footsteps and keep your eyes open for Ammonites, Belemnites, ichthyosaur bones and the interestingly named Devil's Toenails!

Not interested in fossil-hunting? Then why not try a spot of sea-fishing (the area is rich in bass) or some walking (perhaps through the stunning, unspoiled National Trust estate of Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast). And if all you want to do is kick back in the sun, then head for East Beach, with its golden, pebbly sand and river lagoon.

The village itself is relaxed and picturesque, and there are several good pubs, cafes and restaurants which cater to all tastes. So whether you fancy some fresh, sustainable seafood or a traditional English breakfast, there'll be something to satisfy just a short stroll away.
