The Garden House is a stunning and substantial new house with sea views, in a Grade II listed, walled garden on the peaceful Rousdon Estate.

The spacious house easily accommodates twelve people in a luxurious setting. It boasts a wealth of wonderful features including a double height conservatory, opening on to a large south-facing terrace with seating and views across the garden to the sea.

The kitchen is custom made and equipped with steel worktops, gas hob, a double oven and two dishwashers. A huge bespoke dining table comfortably seats twelve people. French doors open onto the terrace with outdoor dining and seating areas. The large drawing room offers another comfortable seating area with television, DVD player, well stocked bookshelves and games.

Upstairs is a large mezzanine area with night-sky viewing by telescope. There are five bedrooms (three ensuite, one large twin/superking and one bunk-bed room that sleeps four) and a family bathroom.

The one acre garden has turret and pavilion set into the wall, football area, wildflower meadow and lawns. Close to Lyme Regis, the private Rousdon Estate offers 350 acres of natural beauty including a private beach.

A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. A luxurious and beautifully appointed home with some lovely personal touches the property provides very spacious family accommodation in a wonderfully peaceful setting overlooking the sea.

About Devon (Rousdon)

If you really want to escape the treadmill and wind down in complete peace, few locations are as perfect as Rousdon. At 500 feet above sea-level the walks and views are breath-taking, and the village bakery & coffee house and the famous Dower House Hotel are open for meals, drinks and light refreshments. Or you could venture the two miles to Lyme Regis and sample some of the many restaurant options, such as seafood at Hix Fish & Oyster House. Nearby Axminster, home to the famous River Cottage HQ, is also worth a visit.
