One of 5 lodges set in a peaceful, private site on the fringes of a quiet residential area, this luxury 2 bedroom lodge offers excellent family accommodation only 15 minutes’ walk from the beach and shops. Perfect for a seaside holiday, Charmouth boasts an unspoilt beach and superb coastal walks as well as a good range of village shops.

From its elevated position, the lodge has the most picturesque views across stunning Dorset coastline from the open plan living area. French doors open onto a large decked area at the front providing an ideal spot to enjoy some alfresco dining or to simply sit with your favourite glass of wine and appreciate this most enviable of locations.

A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats.


Please note: This property can sleep a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. There is no cot space in the bedrooms.

About Dorset (Charmouth)

Considered a gateway to the World Heritage Site, Charmouth has one of the finest fossil beaches in Europe. The Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront is the best place to discover more about the area's dramatic geology, pick up fossil-hunting tips or get involved in the many natural history activities that run year-round, from fossil-finding weekends to rock-pool rambles.

You could even visit the towering Black Ven cliff, between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, where Mary Anning famously discovered the first ichthyosaur skeleton when she was just 12 years of age. Follow in Mary's footsteps and keep your eyes open for Ammonites, Belemnites, ichthyosaur bones and the interestingly named Devil's Toenails!

Not interested in fossil-hunting? Then why not try a spot of sea-fishing (the area is rich in bass) or some walking (perhaps through the stunning, unspoiled National Trust estate of Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast). And if all you want to do is kick back in the sun, then head for East Beach, with its golden, pebbly sand and river lagoon.

The village itself is relaxed and picturesque, and there are several good pubs, cafes and restaurants which cater to all tastes. So whether you fancy some fresh, sustainable seafood or a traditional English breakfast, there'll be something to satisfy just a short stroll away.
