    “On the plus side the apartment is in a great location and well appointed with great views.”

    However, we were disappointed we had to clean the majority of the windows to see them - having said that the patio doors had been done, which is a pity because the views were one of the features which attracted us. The main issue was the seating in the lounge area was very uncomfortable which made it hard to relax. There was also no welcome pack (a small milk would have been nice having just travelled 280 miles to find the local shops closed) and nothing in the welcome folder to show how the ...

All in all we enjoyed our stay but sadly will not be returning because of the issues mentioned. Reading others comments it seems there is a common theme which really could do with being sorted out.

The property

Situated in one of West Bay’s most iconic buildings and enjoying spectacular views of the harbour this is a truly stylish and beautifully presented second floor apartment. The large open plan living area is flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows and overlooks the marina with its multitude of fishing and pleasure boats. Doors open onto a large balcony which wraps around the building and offers an idyllic spot to enjoy some alfresco dining or to sit and watch the world go by. The modern and well-equipped kitchen with its breakfast bar enjoys the same great views and complements the social living space making this a wonderful choice for a couple or friends looking to holiday together. The two bedrooms are both tastefully and comfortably furnished. The master bedroom with ensuite shower room opens on to the terrace. The second bedroom, with flexible sleeping options, has its own private roof terrace with views of the beach. With parking in a private car park and lift access this is an ideal base for those wishing to visit this charming seaside town. West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, crabbing, boating and golf. Visit the homes of Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, the Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval air Museum at Yeovil. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive West takes you to Charmouth for fossil hunting, to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, and to River Cottage HQ near Axminster. To the East are the lovely Sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury, and the golden sands of Weymouth. This wonderful location makes an ideal base for a great family holiday.
