A beautifully presented and impressive Edwardian House set in carefully landscaped gardens overlooking the picturesque fishing village of Beer, in East Devon.
York House is an imposing property approached through its own sweeping drive and has been thoughtfully designed to make the most of the far reaching views, with its terraced gardens and outdoor seating areas looking over the village and out to the sea. The accommodation is both elegant and well-proportioned with a large and bright family kitchen providing a real heart to the home with its AGA and large family dining table. The comfortably furnished sitting room is the perfect space for unwinding and with a separate TV room, the house is ideal for larger groups. The four spacious bedrooms in the main house are luxuriously furnished and designed with a relaxing and restful break in mind. An adjoining coach house annexe incorporates the 5th bedroom with a separate living room and well equipped kitchen making this a perfect choice for extended families or friends wishing to holiday together. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats.
The picture-postcard village of Beer is located on the Jurassic coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site. One of the most spectacular coastlines in England the coast extends for 95 miles and takes in dramatic cliffs, spectacular arches and sea stacks. The natural bay and shingle beach at Beer still boasts a small fleet of working fishing boats and the striking white chalk cliffs provide a natural suntrap sheltering the cove from prevailing westerly winds.
With a large variety of places to eat, drink and relax, Beer also enjoys a wide range of family friendly leisure attractions including the famous Pecorama and Quarry Caves and self-drive motor boats can be hired from the beach. With the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth within 20 minutes by car this property is a great base for discovering this recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Please note: A refundable security deposit of £250 is required for all bookings. Occupation of this property is from 4pm.
