This was a highlight of my previous visit and one of the reasons I booked this cottage again. Obviously, a cliff erosion is not something one can predict but we should have been notified before we arrived that we wouldn't be able to swim at this beautiful, private spot. In the event, we walked down the path our first afternoon and found that our way was barred. I have written an email to highlight this fact.
Dear Sarah, I'm sorry that there was no washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets, these are supposed to be provided. I did inform Lyme Bay holidays of the beach path closure so I don't know why they didn't tell you. The cliff erosion is likely to be an ongoing problem as a result of climate change and increasingly wet winters but I will take the lack of information and the missing cleaning items up with owner relations and housekeeping.
