The estate lies along the dramatic Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and overlooks the breathtaking natural wilderness of the Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliff.

What guests are saying
Make sure before you rent whether they have cleaned it properly inside and out as they didn’t do that for us.
Also check if they have scraped the awful brown peeling dirt paint off the dining room ceiling.they insisted this was a historic leak but was awful to look at. The bedrooms were full of dust and the windows dirty. The bench in the garden has seen better days and not appealing at all to sit on. Will not be advising anyone to stay here especially with the service of Sykes company. Highly doubt this will be published either
We had a wonderful stay at Yard Cottage.
It was only a short stay of 2 nights and we wished it was longer. The property had everything that we could need and it was very clean and tidy. We loved the welcome pack with local produce. It was so convenient for trips to Lyme Regis and Seaton. We particularly enjoyed the visit to Beer Quarry Caves. Definitely would recommend the property.
This was my second stay in this property, this time with a group of girlfriends rather than family.
The cottage was comfortable and worked well for the six of us. We ate out in the evenings in Lyme Regis but had breakfasts there and prepared a picnic for our coastal walks/sea swims. One tip: leave washing up liquid and washing machine tablets for customers. We brought everything else but expected these two items to have been provided. One major negative for us (four of the group are great cold water swimmers) was not to have been notified ahead of our visit about the lack of access to the private beach. This was a highlight of my previous visit and one of the reasons I booked this cottage again. Obviously, a cliff erosion is not something one can predict but we should have been notified before we arrived that we wouldn't be able to swim at this beautiful, private spot. In the event, we walked down the path our first afternoon and found that our way was barred. I have written an email to highlight this fact.
