16 Church Street is a bright and spacious ground-floor apartment, situated in the heart of Lyme Regis close to the shops and restaurants and just a few minutes’ walk from the seafront and beaches. The property has been modernised and is presented to a high standard throughout and is ideal for couples or small families looking for a great central location to enjoy a seaside holiday at any time of the year.
The open plan living area is an inviting space and the perfect spot to unwind after a day spent exploring the area. The galley kitchen at the rear of the apartment is extremely well equipped and it will be a delight to conjure up an evening meal or a tasty breakfast. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats.
Arranged over two floors, the king-size bedroom is located on the ground floor, where you will also find the stylish shower room with a generous walk in shower. The second bedroom, a twin room, is an open plan room and located on the lower ground floor.
The apartment is wonderful base to enjoy all Lyme Regis has to offer. The seafront, with its family friendly beaches is perfect for those looking to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday. Water sports such as paddle boarding are available and for those wanting to get out on the water, boat trips run regularly from the famous Cobb Harbour. In an area renowned for fossils, why not try your hand at fossil hunting on the beaches or learn about the history at the town museum. Other popular attractions include the Marine Theatre, home to live music and comedy, the performing arts, films and theatrical productions throughout the year. The town boasts a great selection of shops for your day to day needs together with gift shops and welcoming coffee shops. When you want a night off from cooking there is an excellent choice of restaurants whether you fancy fine dining, local seafood or just enjoying a bite to eat with a sea view, there is something for everyone.
When it comes to travelling further afield, the scenic Jurassic Coast is waiting to be explored with popular walks, seaside towns and fishing villages, and attractions such as Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove or the award winning sub-tropical gardens at Abbotsbury,

The place so good so much space everything you needed.
I have a problem with my right wrist and had a problem with the dehumidifier which needed emptying. The bed so comfortable with plenty of storage. So close for walking eating and shops. I had a great week.
We had a lovely week in the cottage, it is well positioned just up a slight incline from the main town and beaches.
The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice with a very good shower. The sofas were comfortable and we enjoyed having access to Netflix. The kitchen had a good sized fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine with pull out shelves to store our food. The welcome pack was very thoughtful with milk, apple juice, biscuits and even some dishwasher tablets. There were just a couple of issues the first being that the microwave was situated above the ovens and was higher than my 5'4" mother making it dangerous to use. I am 5' 8" and even i couldn't see inside the microwave. The kitchen could also do with a pair of scissors, a knife sharpener, some more breakfast bowls and a butter dish. One other item that is needed is a baby gate on the top of the stairs to the basement bedroom as my elderly parents were afraid of falling down the stairs in the night when they were up to use the bathroom. There was noise from the apartment above where we could hear footsteps during the afternoon but that didn't really bother us. Overall we had a lovely week at the cottage, lyme regis is a really lovely seaside town.
We had an enjoyable stay at 16 Church Street, Lyme Regis, and the property’s location was excellent; it was perfectly placed for exploring the town, with everything within easy walking distance.
The house itself was comfortable and had all the facilities we needed, particularly the courtyard area at the back, which was a real bonus. The bistro table and chairs, along with the excellent drying facilities, were very useful after days out and beach visits. The lounge was a lovely space, with comfortable sofas, a good TV and Netflix available, which made it a relaxing place to unwind. The property was generally well equipped and worked well for our family. There were, however, a few issues during our stay. On the first night, we discovered that the shower was leaking quite badly, resulting in water damage to the ceiling area above the basement bedroom, with the paint blistering and bubbling. This understandably meant my daughter felt uncomfortable sleeping beneath it. I contacted the maintenance team, who responded very quickly and came out that same day to replace the shower screen flashing, which resolved the problem. They also attended to the faulty mechanism on the master bedroom window during the same visit, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the cleanliness on arrival was a little disappointing. The Nespresso machine still contained the previous guest’s used coffee pods and stagnant water, which had become unpleasant and mouldy. We also found that a number of plates, cups and utensils needed to be washed before use due to food and drink residue being left on them. This felt more like a cleaning oversight rather than an issue with the property itself, but it did affect our first impression. It is also worth noting that the property is situated on a busy road, and traffic noise was noticeable, particularly at certain times of the day. Additionally, there was quite a lot of noise from the flat above, where a family with young children were staying. We completely appreciate that some noise is inevitable in a property with shared accommodation, but on occasions it continued late into the night and started again early in the morning, which did impact our sleep. The beds were also firmer than we personally prefer, although this is very much down to individual preference and may suit others. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the excellent location, comfortable living space and quick response from the maintenance team. However, due to the cleaning issues, noise levels and a few practical concerns, we probably wouldn’t choose to return to this particular property in the future.

not have a "through-draft" and can sometimes retain moisture; along with specialist dry lining in the walls the owner has also provided a dehumidifier for guest to use as they wish.
The lower floor bedroom is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
