“We have been many times with the previous company,and found the cottage spotless.”
This time however the floors were very dirty, the bottom of our socks and slippers were filthy. floors were obviously not washed .Considering that the cottage is dog friendly this should be done,(we didn’t have a dog) The sink overflow in the bathroom was dirty as was the rim under the toilet.we cleaned these ourselves.Not quite sure what the cleaner did.We feel very sorry for the owners who are paying good money to have the property maintained by Sykes .what a shame beautiful decor.We paid nearly £2000 for 2 weeks disappointing.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the issues you encountered, particularly with the floors and bathroom. Cleanliness is something we take extremely seriously, and it’s disappointing to learn that we fell short on this occasion. We have already raised this with the housekeeping team and Sykes to investigate how this was missed and to ensure this situation does not occur again. The cottage should always be spotless, whether guests are bringing a dog or not.
It’s especially disheartening to hear this from returning guests who know how the property should be presented. We greatly appreciate your loyalty in choosing to stay with us again, and it’s upsetting to know we let you down this time.
