The property
With its origins dating back to medieval times, Coombe Street was once the main street in Lyme Regis. Today it forms what is known as the artisan quarter in Lyme and is home to some interesting independent shops, restaurants and galleries.
Naunton Cottage is a delightful period cottage with a distinctive powder blue exterior, located just 150 metres from the seafront and beaches. Retaining many character features including stone floors, exposed ceiling beams and wooden window shutters, this 2 bedroom property is deal for couples or friends looking for a convenient central location in this popular seaside town.
The open plan living space is welcoming with comfortable seating and cosy woodburning stove. The kitchen is well equipped with Belfast sink and breakfast bar. Doors at the rear of the cottage lead to a small courtyard garden with small trees and shrubs and provides the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a spacious king-size bedroom and a smaller double room, both retaining the same character with wooden floors with the larger bedroom having wooden shuttered windows. The spacious shower room with large shower cubicle is on the first floor with a separate cloakroom located conveniently on the ground floor.
Situated in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis boasts a selection of beaches including Monmouth Beach which is known as the best beach for fossil hunting. The promenade leads to the towns famed harbour and the historic sea wall know as The Cobb that affords wonderful views over Lyme Bay. There are superb coastal walks including the South West Coast Path and miles of unspoilt countryside to explore.
Naunton Cottage is a wonderful cottage to explore all that this popular seaside town has to offer.
