Wander the gardens of Mapperton
This Elizabethan manor is home to the Earl of Sandwich and has been since the restoration of King Charles. Throughout the year there are a variety of concerts and events put on in the visually stunning valley gardens.

Turn back time in Beaminster Museum
The museum has such a wide selection of exhibits showcasing the history of Beaminster, the surrounding area and the rise of the industries that first bought Beaminster to prominence. There is something here for everyone and spans two levels of an Old Chapel building on Whitcombe Road. From Freemasonary to bangles there is a lot to be garnered from a visit here.

Le Vieux Four
A wonderful coffee shop and bakery in North Street. Well known for the sublime coffee and incredible French inspired baked goods. Crepes, cakes and croissants with a wonderful welcome, what more could you want for a morning chat?

Brassica Restaurant
This restaurant well deserves its Michelin Star. Popular with locals and visitors alike, Brassica prides itself on the culinary magic delivered to each and every table. The staff are knowledgeable and the wine list is extensive. It’s probably best to leave the kids at home and treat yourselves to a well-earned date night in a fantastic setting and gentle ambience.

The Greyhound Inn
Placed on the edge of the market square The Greyhound is perfectly situated for a quick pint or a pub classic meal from its varied menu. Sunday Roast is a particular favourite amongst most visitors and they kitchen is always happy to accommodate the dietary requirements of their patrons.

The Sawmill
Under casual management by the team at Brassica and situated in the grounds of Mapperton Manor The Sawmill overs a delightful menu of lunches, teas and cakes. Family friendly with a large space outside to watch the world go by, in this case the resident ducks, doves, chicken and roosters, it is a hit with little ones and their accompanying guardians.

Beaminster Festival
Over this month long festival there is a wonderfully diverse collection of live events. Music, theatre, art and literature are the main draws, and as they occur at different times throughout the days and evenings you are generally able to attend as many of the events as your heart desires without sacrificing one for another. A vibrant Street Party in the Square and the Visual Arts Exhibition are hugely popular. Take a look through the schedule and make sure you get to as many events
