“Well equipped and comfortable accommodation.”

Just very noisy location 5am wake up as the delivery / refuse lorries start. Was never able to park close to drop off stuff, so long walks up hill to the long stay car park.

Hi Timothy Many thanks for your feedback and am glad you found Rooby's Retreat comfortable and well equipped.I am sorry for the early wake up call. The weekly refuse collections in the town start from 6.30am onwards ahead of the town centre becoming busy with pedestrians and traffic but provide a vital service in keeping our delightful seaside town clean and tidy for everyone’s enjoyment. We recommend using the pay and display car park across the road behind Tesco's for drop off. Property Owner

Hi Clare, glad you enjoyed your stay at Rooby’s Retreat. Yes there is a timed light switch just inside the street door for lighting the passage and another one at the entrance to the first floor. Rooby’s Retreat is a charming second floor apartment forming part of a listed building conveniently located in the very heart of the town, ideally situated for all that the beautiful seaside town of Lyme Regis has to offer. This two-bedroom property is perfect for families and friends and is tastefully decorated with a bright seaside theme throughout. Located only steps from the seafront, family friendly sandy beach and all local amenities. With large sash windows, the open-plan living area is bright and spacious and ideal for relaxing on the sofa in front of the Smart TV or losing yourself in a good book at the end of the day. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need if you wish to cook for yourselves or, if you prefer there are many superb restaurants, cafes, bars and takeaways within easy walking distance. The modern bathroom is fitted with a bath and invigorating shower. The large main bedroom with its king-size bed, gives views of the front, and the second, twin bedroom benefits from skylight windows and a variety of toys and surprises for younger guests. Take a stroll outside to explore the neighbourhood’s attractions, such as the Lyme Regis Museum, which will teach you about the town's intriguing past, view the ammonite pavement or try your hand at fossil hunting on the fossil beach. The Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, located on the famous Cobb Harbour, will showcase the region's diverse marine life. The family friendly sandy beach is perfect for those looking for a traditional seaside holiday or try your hand at water sports such as paddleboarding or the Lyme Rib Rides for those seeking a more thrilling experience. The property is just 100 yards away from the fabulous Lister Gardens, with its nature trail and fabulous views over Lyme Bay and the Jurassic coastline. If you are planning to travel further afield Bridport is a short drive away with its beautiful harbour and large antique emporium. A drive of just under the hour will get you to the amazing Paignton Zoo – made famous by the BBC series ‘The Zoo’. For a beautiful stay on the Jurassic Coast Rooby's Retreat is the perfect base.
