First, the wifi speed made working from there difficult: we were only able to get 3Mbps download and 1Mbps upload speeds, which was even worse than our bad 4G signal. BT's speed estimates for the property were significantly higher, so much higher speeds should be available.

The booking process has changed for the worse since last year. We've stayed with Lyme Bay Holidays 7 times now, but this time there was a lot of aggressive upselling of insurance during the booking process and when we tried to change our booking just one week after making it (and more than 6 months in advance…) we were told that we would lose our entire deposit if we did so. That left a bad feeling for us as loyal customers.
