    “Cottage was everything we would want, a hand rail to the cottage would be a blessing for those compromised on mobility the steps were quite steep.”

    A visitors book to share places we found of interest it makes it more interesting to read. No WI- FI was a bit of a challenge. I would come back as it was a beautiful place with lovely gardens. Thank you Mrs D.

Particular features of Trill Cottage are the beautiful inglenook fireplace, flagstone flooring and exposed beams and stone walls. River Cottage HQ is nearby as is the popular seaside resort of Lyme Regis (4 miles). Whether it's walking, bird watching, the seaside, fossils or just relaxing, Little Trill is a great base for exploring this recognised "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". The nearby village of Musbury which is situated within an Area of Outstanding Beauty, has a shop and a pub which are within walking distance, ideal for stocking up on essentials or enjoying a hearty meal. An area popular with walkers, take in breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coastline along this popular stretch of the South West Coastal Path or enjoy a walk around the hill forts of Musbury Castle or Lamberts Castle, both offering far reaching countryside views. When it comes to days out, why not head to Lyme Regis with its iconic Cobb Harbour, where you will find a great choice of eateries and galleries as well as visitor attractions including Lyme Regis Aquarium, The Marine theatre and town museum. Nearby Seaton is another worthwhile destination with its mile long beach, Wetlands Centre and tramway, where you can hop onboard for a journey along the River Axe. MUSBURY

Axminster 3 miles; Seaton 4 miles; Lyme Regis 5 miles.

Musbury is a small village in East Devon lying between the towns of Axminster and Seaton with much of the surrounding unspoilt countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and the centre of the village is a designated Conservation Area. There are plenty of spectacular walks in the surrounding landscape of wooded combes, vast areas of heathland, fertile river valleys and breathtaking cliffs or hilltops. The area is rich in wildlife with local nature reserves providing sanctuaries for birdlife including ospreys around the Axe estuary. From Musbury Castle, a hill fort above the village, there are spectacular views of the Axe Valley. Musbury is three miles from picturesque Seaton Bay with its mile long shingle beach on the Jurassic Coastline, a natural World Heritage Site. The attractive fishing port of Beer is also close-by as is the historic town of Axminster, with medieval minster church by the beautiful river Axe, weekly market, a museum containing antique Axminster carpets and ‘River Cottage’ produce shop and café.
