    “We really enjoyed our recent short stay at Torestin, it was very clean, well equipped and comfortable and the covered pergola looking over the cottage garden was a treat.”

    I would suggest the addition of a mirror in the bedrooms would be welcome and helpful for hairdressing purposes, also the beds were comfortable but quite creaky, maybe the fastenings just need a little attention. The lighting in the snug definitely needs to be brighter, it was very dark in the evenings. Our lovely next door neighbours were very supportive when the village lost the water supply for 5 hours and even offered to go out to get water for us. We would definitely return to Torestin if ...

Torestin is a wonderfully styled home situated in the vibrant Devon village of Kilmington. Ideal for couples, families, and friends, this pet-friendly property is just a short walk from a popular village pub, countryside walks and only a short drive from the coast and the popular seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Beer. Designed with great attention to detail, the bright open-plan ground floor has a contemporary and modern kitchen and dining room with bi-fold doors opening out onto a spacious covered veranda at the rear. The perfect spot for dining alfresco or relaxing on a sun lounger with a glass of something chilled, looking out onto the rear enclosed garden. The village of Kilmington is pretty village comprising of many thatched properties and with a church and village pub at its heart. Located in a designated area of superb natural beauty and surrounded by an abundance of footpaths and circular walks, with nearby Shute woods offering some great dog walking and far-reaching views from the beacon at the summit. For times when you prefer not to cook, The New Inn is a small village pub in the heart of Kilmington is only a short walk from the property and serves fine real ales and traditional pub grub, with nearby Axminster, Lyme Regis, Axmouth and Seaton all boasting a good selection from traditional pubs to fine dining restaurants.
