At the other bar you can enjoy delicious prosecco, a range of gins, and yummy cocktail concoctions. Plus, on a hot summer’s day, there are even frozen cocktails available courtesy of the bar’s slushy machine.

The food is also a treat. With gorgeous local produce from Taste of Devon butchers, baked goods from Charmouth bakery and fish from Daveys Locker in Bridport, it’s no wonder this pub won Taste of the West GOLD for Best Dining Pub in 2021.

The George also boasts a spacious outdoor area to sit in on a sunny day. Here you’ll find a fantastic play area for the kids and- perhaps most excitingly of all- an animal corner where some adorable pygmy goats live.
