    Lovely bright, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable apartment. Welcome pack with lots of goodies much appreciated! Had a couple of small issues, the team responded very quickly and resolved them for us, checking in that all was okay. Ideal location for exploring, bus stop right outside. Parking permit was very useful. Have visited Beer and area many times over the years, will definitely be back! Great apartment in great location.

Located in the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Beer in East Devon, is the wonderful one-bedroom apartment at Durham House. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, this ground-floor accommodation is ideal for a couple wishing to enjoy all that this seaside village has to offer. Beer is situated on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and its picturesque cliffs, including Beer Head, form part of the South West Coast Path, making this a popular choice for walkers or visitors at any time of the year. A property built using the local Beer stone, Durham House offers spacious accommodation with a wealth of characterful features typical of the late Victorian era, including a beautiful feature fireplace with open fire. The open-plan living space is welcoming and homely with the large bay window flooding the room with light, while the kitchen and dining areas have doors which open onto a rear courtyard, providing the ideal spot to unwind with a book and enjoy a cold glass of bubbly. A welcome pack for your stay ensures a great start to your holiday and includes milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats so you’ll feel at home from the moment you arrive. After a long day, find the charming, king-size bedroom designed for tranquillity and catching up on some well-earned rest; steps lead to an elegantly-presented, en-suite bathroom where you can indulge a long soak and complete your evening routine before sloping off into a deep sleep. Beer is nestled on the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, famous for its quarried stone that has been used in many historic buildings such as Exeter and St Paul's Cathedrals. Lyme Regis, renowned for fossil hunting and the iconic Cobb harbour, is another favourite and well within reach for a memorable day out. Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction. Beer is situated on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the village offers sloping streets lined with picturesque stone houses and cottages built on many different levels of the steep valley sides. There are a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs in Beer, plus just outside the village is the popular Pecorama Gardens, which are perched on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay. Pecorama boasts the Beer Heights Light Railway and indoor model railway exhibition, along with a children's play area. Beer is a unique Devon fishing village and a great place to stay.
