The property

Nestled alongside the picturesque River Lym, this former mill workers’ cottage, built in the 19th Century, has been newly renovated to an exceptional standard to provide a cosy and comfortable retreat for couples or small families. Retaining many of its original charming and characterful period features, including an original window seat and feature fireplace with woodburning stove, this is beautiful cottage presented with style. A real feature is the first floor sun room with doors opening onto a private roof terrace which really makes the most of this most enviable riverside location. A south facing, enclosed shared garden with patio to the front is a great spot to sit and enjoy some alfresco dining or to simply relax and listen to the sounds of the river. A short walk from the seafront and towns unique collection of privately owned shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries, this is a delightful cottage in a central location and a great base to enjoy a traditional cottage holiday in this popular seaside resort. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. Please note: Due to the proximity of the River Lym care will need to be taken with small children When unpacking a vehicle please note the property is on a narrow no through road. We advise unpacking at the wooden gate and going no further down due to the lack of turning space. The cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 persons plus one infant. If the sofa bed is required instead of a single bed please specify at time of booking. Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent.
There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
