    It’s lovely. Within this context, here are some constructive comments for improvement. We were disappointed to be notified by Lyme Bay holidays that the welcome pack had been withdrawn. It’s very useful to have a few things like milk and tea/coffee on arrival to avoid having to get up to the shops after a long day travelling. We received an email from Lyme Bay holidays on the day before we travelled informing us that the heating in the property was “off” and that if we wanted ...

    It’s lovely. Within this context, here are some constructive comments for improvement. We were disappointed to be notified by Lyme Bay holidays that the welcome pack had been withdrawn. It’s very useful to have a few things like milk and tea/coffee on arrival to avoid having to get up to the shops after a long day travelling. We received an email from Lyme Bay holidays on the day before we travelled informing us that the heating in the property was “off” and that if we wanted heat we would have to let them know. In turn they would get the owner to turn the heating on using the owners heating app. I think this needs looking at; it’s unusual. Regarding the heating for visitor awareness: When using the thermostat to boost the heating allow 5/10 minutes for the boiler to generate sufficient heat to radiators. At first it appears the boiler isn’t working , but the heat does come through eventually. I think this is happening because, in my experience the radiators would benefit from being balanced. Again, a lovely cosy property in a great location. Love it.

The property

This delightful period cottage is quietly situated in Old Lyme Regis, just a short walk from the seafront and shops. Retaining all of its character and charm the property has been modernised and furnished to a high standard. As well as introducing some very attractive individual touches, the owners have restored many original features including exposed Blue Lias stone walls and two striking ornamental fireplaces in the lounge and dining room. A lovely cottage in a great central location to enjoy all that Lyme Regis has to offer. Please note: No pets allowed. Stairgates do not fit the stairs in this property. About the location

LYME REGIS

Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

Note: Parking a short distance from the property, permit is provided but spaces are subject to availability.

We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent.
There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
