“This is a spotlessly clean cottage with off street car parking.”
It has a very comfortable bed and a simple to operate separate shower (downstairs) with lots of hot water. Everything is well maintained and working. Very practical, with room for toiletries in the bathroom upstairs, enough wardrobe space etc and a mirror near socket for hairdryer (it’s the small things that please my wife) most sockets have USB’s.
The kitchen is small, but well equipped but didn’t get a lot of use as we don’t ‘cook’ on hols. The lounge/dining room is big, it has lots of opening windows and doors which make it spacious and airy, and if the weather is iffy there is always the Sky TV.
There is a lovely front garden plus a raised composite decking area to the side with a view of the sea with a patio table and chairs which we used a lot. The drive is big enough for one medium size SUV to drive in, and with a bit of shuffling drive out, no reversing onto road.
From the car park opposite you can access steps down to the end of the promenade for a fine walk into town.
The road outside is a main route into Lyme Regis and there is road noise, especially at peak times.
And it is a bit of a hill (definitely seems further coming back after a wine or two) the stairs are also maybe a tad steep. So anyone young or old with limited walking/stability might have to take this into consideration.
Lyme Regis was great fun, we had a lovely holiday, with brilliant weather, (bit warm for our elderly black dog) and we were very happy with the cottage, and would happily return.
Suggestion wise, the site photos need updating and perhaps a few small nibble bowls plus maybe a cafetière to use on the sunny decking area at breakfast time (and a suggestion book?)
Thank you for your mainly positive review.
The cafetière was kept on the top shelf in the larder unless it has disappeared!
Yes I agree the photos should be updated.
Thank you for your custom.
