Hatchett Top Flat

I have stayed at the property several times before and was pleased to find that the excellent level of comfort and maintenance of the property has continued over the years.

Even when we had an odd electrical problem on this occasion, it was easy to contact the office and an electrician arrived within a couple of hours.

Had a super time at Hatchett Top Flat.

The accommodation was first class with everything you’d need for a great holiday. There was nothing we could fault. The location was just right and having our own parking made all the difference. This is our 3rd time in Lyme and we’d definitely book here again.

Had wonderful stay in Lyme Regis at Hatchet top flat perfect place to stay can’t fault it +it had parking which was a bonus would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

We had a lovely long weekend at Hatchett Top Flat.

The flat was clean, tidy and comfortable. There was a generous welcome pack which included milk in the fridge and a comprehensive folder providing information pertaining to the property and local attractions. The walk into Lyme Regis really did take only 5 mins along the beautiful river. We are likely to visit again and would happily recommend Hatchett Top Flat.

We have stayed 4 times now and we love it.

Always so clean and well maintained. Comfy beds and everything you need. Excellent location with parking too. The information book is always up to date with very clear instructions which makes it so much easier.

Compact but comfortable, especially the bed, ideally situated for an easy walk to town and beach.

We had a really lovely time in Lyme Regis.

nice walk down to the town by the river . one thing my aunt and I agree is that a step is needed to get into the bath as if you have mobility issues it could be difficult . overall very good flat .

We have stayed before and this is a great place to holiday in Lyme.

You can walk into town along the River so everything is in easy reach. The flat is well maintained, clean and has everything you need for your holiday. Would definitely stay again

A lovely holiday property in a great location of Lyme Regis.

Very clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The side access is quite narrow for carrying bags etc along which also includes a couple of steep steps. The other access (via the footpath and garden) is better but a bit further around (not so good for unpacking in the rain!). Overall we were pleased with the property and would definitely stay again.

Great location and parking a big bonus, although space is a bit tight due to the low walls.

We loved our 4th stay at Top Hatchett Flat and also had the pleasure of meeting Jon and Fletch for the first time!

Flat was very well presented and comfortable.

Access to flat from car parking area was further than expected, access on stairs not ideal. From the pictures on website we thought the flat had a balcony but realised when we got there that it was a low angled shot from the ‘garden’. Disappointed with the sitting out area, just concrete with a couple of pots, could have easily been brightened up with some summer bedding. We did enjoy our stay and it was great having the river Lym so close by to walk into Lyme one way or up to Uplyme in the other direction but because of access issues and concrete garden we wouldn’t return.

This is our second time and we love it.

So Peaceful. It had everything we needed. We hope to return again soon. Thanks to John and Fletch for making the stay even better

Fantastic property great owners very helpful & friendly lucky they were about to give us the correct key code as Sykes did not and never answered any messages I sent (shame Lyme Bay Holidays were taken over at least they were people to speak to on the phone and not charge £9 to book with Sykes I await a refund for that) WONT BE BOOKING WITH Sykes EVER AGAIN

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hatchett top flat.

It was clean and comfortable and had nice little seaside touches, and a shelf or two full of dvds to watch. The outdoor area has a lovely Mediterranean feel and the walk alongside the river towards the town and beach is beautiful. We hope to come and stay again.

Love the flat and its location. Perfect base for our week at the seaside. Very likely to return for our third stay.

Have no problems with Lyme Bay Holidays they are very helpful always have been and always on site to speak to a “person” with any problems, shame we cannot book direct with them instead of going through Chester.

Sykes never got back to me from last March 2023 when we had a problem with the Key safe code (you gave us the wrong code number) and I’m still awaiting a reply from you from last week regarding the TV not working and the damp walls in the bedrooms, in the end we had to go to the local Lyme Bay Holidays and speak to a “person” who were very helpful

The apartment was pleasant, comfortable but basic.

The metal stairs were a hazard, it had rained heavily & they were slippery. Parking was a trial, the space provided was very difficult to negotiate, particularly right at the bottom of a very steep hill, with little turning space

We had a lovely comfortable stay at Hatchett top floor flat very clean and comfortable beds, shower was lovely and warm, we tried to put the heaters on one evening when it got chilly but couldn’t get them working, parking very tricky, as others had mentioned and carrying shopping and luggage from the car to the flat is a little challenging, stairs could be to much for older persons, we enjoyed lovely walks a long the river to the pubs and restaurants was very chilled and relaxing, would definitely stay again .

What a lovely flat!

It was extremely clean and comfortable and having a parking space in such a popular area was a real bonus. The very pretty walk into Lyme Regis took only about 10 minutes which meant that we were able to leave the car at the property for much of the time. Many thanks to John, the owner, who was very helpful and friendly during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Hatchett Top Flat and hope to return to the property in the near future. Since you took over Lyme Bay Holidays the service is bad can’t get through to the lovely local agent in Lyme Regis only through to someone else in any part of the UK, when we arrived the key safe number was incorrect that was given to us from Sykes, lucky for us Lyme Bay Holidays was up the hill so we made our way up there to be told the key safe was a different number

Excellent flat really close to the centre of Lyme Regis.

In easy walking distance of the town and beaches. The flat itself was lovely and clean and had everything you could need. Lovely welcome hamper with local treats, thank you ☺️ We enjoyed the beaches, fossil hunting from the museum and the aquarium feeding the grey mullet. Thanks so much, we had a lovely holiday!

Hatchett Top Flat was really nice.

Especially the bathroom. It would have been nice to have some blackout blinds in the bedrooms as normally on holiday you like to sleep in. The 'garden' was a little barren, all concrete. The low wall and the angle of the parking space was of some concern. Which other people had mentioned in the visitors book and we did to the owner (nice chap). However the biggest issue concerning booking again is the £300! increase per week for next year. This seems to be for all Sykes/Lyme Bay Holidays properties. Well we've booked with someone else for next year, not at £300 more, and this is after more than twenty years of booking with Lyme Bay Holidays. I feel sorry for the owners of the holiday properties and wish them well, can't say the same for Sykes who just seem to be taking advantage of visitors who love Lyme Regis. We shan't be booking again with Sykes/Lyme Bay Holdays.

Lovely apartment, everything you need for a home from home break.

It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Really enjoyed the holiday and will hopefully return to Hatchett again.

The flat was very clean and cosy. The beds were also very comfortable, and everyone got a good night's sleep. Great location which was ideal for walking into Lyme Regis without too steep a climb. Would definitely stay here again

Second visit, having first come in May 23 whilst our daughter was on a school trip, back for a week as a family.

The flat is just as good as we remember from our first visit. Great base for our holiday, great location and very well equipped. We have enjoyed a lovely second visit, our daughter loves the flat as much as we do. Thank you for the welcome pack full of lovely goodies.

Our third visit to this lovely flat in a scenic location on the river Lim.

Always love the walk along the river into town. We didn't make use of the huge quantities of DVD's and books this time as we had the good fortune to have good weather all week.

A perfect place to stay for my 60th birthday. Very clean and tidy place in a great location. Weather wasn't kind to us but it didn't stop us exploring Lyme Regis. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you

First time visiting Lyme Regis and we loved it.

Lovely flat, well equipped and in a great location. Nice walks around Lyme Regis, we enjoyed walking along the beach to Charmouth. Would recommend The \Pilot Boat - we had a fantastic meal there. The Royal Standard is also a nice place to eat. We had an amazing week and hope to be back soon. Many thanks.
