“The property itself is excellent with wonderful sea views but one or two details detracted from our stay.”
The 2 showers on “ground” floor were difficult to operate, especially in the en-suite to the master bedroom. The 2 showers on “ground” floor were difficult to operate, especially in the en-suite to the master bedroom. The lever controlling the flow needed a lot of force to allow the water to come, and we found the temperature control unreliable. This is concerning when it was difficult to reduce the water temperature to a comfortable level. The tv in the master bedroom only allowed the red standby light to go on and off, we never got a picture. As to the master bedroom bed, we are used to Vi-Spring beds at home, and thought the mattress uncomfortable and inadequate. We swapped it for better single mattresses from another bedroom. Although the kitchen was thoroughly well stocked with cutlery, crockery and glasses etc, there was no storage space for the food etc we brought to consume in what is a self catering property. Finally we reported these issues to Lyme Bay on the morning of the third full day. We did not expect any corrective action in the short time remaining, and because they were issues with which we could cope. They in no way spoiled our holiday.
