Positioned just two miles from the vibrant market town of Honiton, The Linhay is perfectly placed for exploring the best of both coast and countryside. The beautiful Jurassic Coast is within easy reach, with the elegant seaside town of Sidmouth, the charming fishing village of Beer, and the renowned fossil-rich beaches of Charmouth all waiting to be discovered. Stepping inside, you'll find a spacious kitchen and dining room where exposed stone walls celebrate the property's agricultural heritage. Equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer, the space is designed for relaxed holiday living, while an air conditioning unit provides cooling in summer and additional warmth during cooler months.

The cosy sitting room offers the perfect place to unwind after a day out exploring. A feature stone wall creates a striking focal point, while comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a welcoming electric woodburner make it easy to settle in for a quiet evening. Large windows draw in the surrounding views, and patio doors open directly onto the wooden sun terrace.

A stylish, newly fitted shower room features a spacious walk-in shower, basin and WC.

Outside, guests can make the most of the peaceful setting from the terrace, complete with a bistro table and chairs for al fresco dining or a morning coffee in the sunshine. To the rear, lawns and garden space offer plenty of room for children and dogs to play.

We had a really enjoyable seven-night stay.

The cottage was peaceful and quiet, and its location was excellent for exploring Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. It made a great base for our holiday, and we had a lovely week. The cottage was very dog friendly, and the secure enclosure was a real bonus. The only small practical issue was that access to the enclosure was through the lounge patio doors, and a doormat by the doors would have been useful when the grass was wet. Luckily, we had brought our own mat for the dog. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed, although it was a little sparsely equipped in terms of crockery and general kitchen items. A washing-up bowl would also have been useful, particularly as there is only a single-bowl sink. The only other minor issue was that the shower drain needed cleaning and became blocked during our stay, although we were able to clear it ourselves. Overall, we had a very good stay and would happily recommend the cottage as a peaceful, dog-friendly base for exploring the surrounding area.

What a fabulous holiday home!

From the very warm welcome, the comfortable furniture to the amazing view and all the farm animals, we had a fantastic holiday. Such a peaceful location for those looking to get away from it all. Lovely hosts, we would be very happy to return!

Great location, beautiful setting and lovely hosts, who were always around on the farm for a chat or for some advice.

The property is lovely - clean and very comfortable. It was always a pleasure to return here after a day out and relax on the decking, looking down the valley and the horses in the field. The views from both the lounge and the main bedroom to wake up to, were great, we never tired of it for the whole week. We would definitely go back for another week, it's a treasure. Even Ellie was barking with joy!!!!
