Hook Farm Cottage

The cottage worked well for us as we had family camping on Hook Farm.

View from the lounge window is great looking over the countryside. The bed was comfortable, the cottage was clean and modern inside. Great walk into Lyme Regis along the river. Certainly a cottage we would be happy to come again.

We thought the cottage was brilliant.

Stunning location with views down the valley and a lovely walk into Lyme Regis along the River Lim (40 mins). Having the campsite shop next door was a bonus. The cottage itself is spacious and comfortable. Good to have the pub in the village, although we didn’t have time to go in there during our stay.

Our first time visiting this beautiful area of the country.

Exceptional holiday location - very central. Lyme Regis beach & Bridport Harbour is stunning. Lyme Regis has a variety of shops and options for food . There are dog restrictions in place at many of the beachs, but at Lyme Regis you can walk them on the walkway pavement. Regarding the accommodation - it is well presented and a welcome bag was left on arrival for us which included a biscuit assortment,tea & coffee. This was gratefully received. A lovely garden area with a paved area and a grass area which was ideal. Lovely and spacious inside with a modern finish . Only criticism was the big beds are heavily sprung which you can hear, with the mattress squeaky. It took me a few days to find a comfortable area of the bed to sleep on(but I do have back issues and are used to sleeping on an orthapedic mateess). The lounge is cosy and if I had to criticise anything (personal taste) - it would be to replace the chairs with another sofa and replace the positioning of the TV and move it more centrally onto the wall opposite the windows - But as I say that is my personal choice. It is a beautiful property to stay at and highly recommend the stay to others . It is a peaceful and well maintained location and one that we will happily book again ! :) Thanks to the owners who let their property

It was very clean, all facilities were there that were needed and the welcome package was lovely.

The views were amazing. The beds and seating in the living room could be more comfortable but I would definitely go back again. Thank you

Lovely bungalow, spotlessly clean and comfortable sofa, chairs and beds.

The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom had a powerful hot shower. The small garden out the back was a nice suntrap. We walked to Lyme several times tho it was a fair old climb back! But there is a convenient car parking space next to the bungalow so driving places is easy to do if you don't fancy the walk.

Great location, roomy and comfortable and had everything we needed.

The welcome pack was very gratefully received - thank you. Although at entrance to a caravan park it was remarkably quiet. The garden was well secured which was very important to us and our small dog. My only problem was the steps - although I can do steps and the details gave warning - the lack of a handrail was a bit of a problem, and getting a rain shower from the overgrown bush over the path when going in or out !!!! Overall the property greatly helped us to have a lovely holiday

Lovely place if you only have one car.

For our family we had 2 vehicles which then increased the cost. We were hoping to have some family who live in Beer visit us but this was also not possible because of the parking issues.

Lovely accommodation and very comfy beds.

The welcome gift was much appreciated and a very thoughtful touch. We thought the property could use an outside light to the back garden area, it would have been useful for when we let our dog out before bed.

We had a wonderful holiday at Hook Farm Cottage.

I honestly couldn't fault the place. It was quiet, clean, well-equipped and spacious. Very modern interior and well-maintained. The welcome bag was lovely and a great way to start the holiday.

Absolutely pristine property with first rate communications, directions and easy access to the cottage on arrival.

It was warm and welcoming and a problem with the TV aerial had been discovered, notified and sorted before our arrival. The welcome pack was one of the nicest we’ve ever received and made that first cuppa a delight. Every facility need was catered for including a very effective oven and plenty of cleaning products to make our exit easy. Three very lovely well appointed bedrooms and a bath made this a comfortable and relaxing weekend with a good supply of books, games and magazines. And of course the outlook from the windows was very picturesque with easy access to Lyme Regis and the surrounding area and a very welcome dedicated car parking spot. I would definitely hope to stay again.

Lovely cottage.

Clean and comfy. Located on a campsite with a handy shop. Area around is quite hilly but did not stop us getting around the many things to do.

We stayed at a lovely cottage right in front of the entrance to Hook Farm Camping Site, and overall it was a really nice experience.

Even when the campsite was busy, the cottage remained peaceful and quiet. The interior was nicely decorated, very comfortable, and the shower and bath were great. Cleanliness throughout was good, and the kitchen was well equipped and spotless. One nice touch was the welcome pack which was full of local delights. The only downside was the dining area — the table was small and a bit wobbly, and the chairs weren’t very comfortable. With only five of us, it felt quite cramped at mealtimes. On the plus side, the living room and bedroom offered lovely views, and the south-facing back garden was a real highlight, with outdoor seating for sunny days. Parking could be improved — for a cottage that sleeps a family of six, having space for at least two cars would make a big difference. A nice thing throughout was the campsite shop, which offered fresh bread and a few essentials. Also during the weekend there were vans with different foods depending on the day, which was very nice to have in case we didn’t want to cook that day. Overall, it’s a charming and comfortable place to stay, with just a few small adjustments that could make it even better.

We had a lovely stay at hook farm, it is clean but maybe looking abit tired in places.

Beds are comfortable and in great location view is beautiful. I would make a suggestion of blackout blinds in bedrooms as sun comes through quite early. Everyone is very friendly and we had a very enjoyable stay

Had to be moved here from another property that had no hot water.

Very happy with the efficient way this was dealt with and this replacement property. I would book with them again. Hook Farm Cottage is a lovely clean modern bungalow and great a base to explore the area. Comfy beds and nicely decorated.

Hook farm was lovely clean modern bungalow we really enjoyed our stay there and beautiful part of Devon we weren't able to make use of garden with our elderly dog as stones were very hard in his paws and acess to grass area to high and no hand rail for us come back down but rest of place had lots lovely walks on farm .

Lovely property.

Suited my elderly mums needs and perfect for my dog. I was able to work and have a holiday with my mum and not worry as the accommodation was great. Clean, tidy and comfortable.

Spacious cottage, convenient to visit other Dorset and Devon coastal venues, immaculate condition, friendly helpful hosts, generous goodie bag and spectacular views!

Details of how to turn on/ use the heating would be useful.

I got the heating working on day 2 but first evening was cold! Accommodation itself was excellent.

Excellent bungalow , obviously recently refurbished, beds really comfy .

Really well equipped kitchen , they seem to have thought of everything anyone could need . Living room could possibly do with another small sofa or two more chairs as not enough seating for six people . Really lovely welcome bag with local produce which is a nice surprise. Fabulous views and lovely walks down to Lyme Regis . Had a tasty meal at the Talbot pub just down the hill . Difficult access to the bungalow for anyone using walking sticks or wheelchairs but fine for anyone else . Curtains in bedroom not blackout and no blinds which let in the light in a morning which might concern some people . Lovely friendly staff on site , all very welcoming and the grounds all beautifully kept . Had a brilliant stay and would highly recommend this lovely quiet bungalow to anyone wishing to stay in this area .

The bungalow was clean ,tidy well set out 3 good sized beds,kitchen well set out bathroom very good,outside area very good our dog loved it all those new smells, will hopefully return & recommend.

We stayed for a 3 night stay in February and it was very peaceful with beautiful views of Uplyme.

The property is well equipped, Beds very comfortable and whole house beautifully clean. We felt the lounge let the property down as a little empty (boarded up fireplace and TV positioned behind the door) also paint was peeling off hall ceiling.
