We understand how dusty rural homes can become and how many more insects and bugs come into the house but Hollycombe Cottage needs a good clean. There were cobwebs around the toilet that had been there weeks, a lot of window frames hadn't been cleaned for sometime with cobwebs seen.

This really let the place down because it's a lovely holiday home and most of it was clean, tidy and good quality. It has a great location for the area between Bridport and Lyme Regis and also boasts some really good country walks directly from the house. You will need an up to date Ordnance Survey map to take advantage of this, perhaps the owners could get one for the cottage?
When we stayed it looked like either the shower hose connection to the shower unit or the shower unit itself was starting to leak.
Despite the minor criticisms we would recommend Hollycombe Cottage as a place to stay. It has a lot going for it and would be a 9/10 or 10/10 if it came into close contact with a duster periodically.
