The steps were no problem for us, but could be difficult for people with mobility issues. We enjoyed the pleasant walk to Lyme along the river, although it is quite steep on the return. The reason for the lower score is the difficulty we experienced when we unfortunately locked ourselves out on a Sunday. We tried the helpline numbers; the first advised us to contact another number, and we received a text saying we would hear back in 20 minutes. No reply came, so we went to the nearby office and found an out‑of‑hours mobile number on the door. This led us to a very helpful person who travelled to Lyme to collect spare keys and place them in the key safe for us. It would be helpful if this out‑of‑hours number were included in the property information, and if a second set of keys could be provided in the key safe.
