Description

Fluta is a detached bungalow located in a peaceful residential area of Seaton, Devon, within easy walking distance of the seafront. The property is arranged entirely on one level and has been extended and newly furnished, creating a bright and comfortable space with attractive sea views.

From the entrance hallway, you are led into the main living area — a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting space intended for comfortable day-to-day living. Doors open directly onto the rear terrace, offering sea views and an easy connection to the outside. Steps lead down from the terrace to the remainder of the garden, which is mostly laid to lawn and features mature trees and established planting, providing an inviting outdoor area to enjoy in warmer weather.

The property offers three bedrooms and is well suited to families or small groups. The principal bedroom is a spacious kingsize room with sea views and a small seating area. The second bedroom also features a kingsize bed, while the third bedroom is arranged as a twin, making it ideal for children or additional guests. The bathroom is modern and functional, with a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside, Fluta provides off-road parking for two vehicles, along with a wraparound garden that offers space to sit out and relax. Seafield Gardens and the seafront are just a couple of minutes’ walk away, allowing guests to enjoy the beach, coastal walks or a coffee along the promenade without needing to drive. The name Fluta dates back to Saxon times, when Seaton was known as Fluta or Fleet, meaning “creek”, reflecting the area’s long coastal heritage.

The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area, with walks along the South West Coast Path, visits to the Jurassic Coast, and level trails through Seaton Wetlands all nearby. The fishing village of Beer is also close at hand and well worth a visit, known for its shingle beach, working fishing boats, independent shops and cafés, and relaxed, traditional atmosphere — perfect for a leisurely afternoon by the sea.

Fluta provides a comfortable and well-located base, with single-storey accommodation, sea views, and convenient access to both Seaton town and the wider Devon coastline.

Please note: Supervision of younger children is required in the rear garden due to the steps from the terrace

We had a lovely short stay in Fluta, Seaton.

The house is beautiful, and very comfortable and relaxing. The windows in the lounge are stunning. The location is great, it's a very short walk to the sea shore, to small beautiful local parks and to the compact town centre. The hosts were very, very welcoming and very helpful. A final note one of the great visitor attractions is Seaton tram. Well worth a visit to their visitor centre and taking a ride on their beautifully maintained vehicles.

Great property, immaculate clean and well decorated.

Very comfortable bed. Netflix was a bonus as were the selection of welcome snacks, tea, coffee and milk. Would not hesitate to recommend.
