Great location,nice views from the property, secure garden for the dogs,spacious bungalow.

I don't mind dated or old but it should be at least clean, there were cobwebs( and dust) everywhere. The worst thing was the smelly carpets (dog's pee) with the rug in the rug on the top of it, either it needs to be professionally cleaned/washed or better the flooring replaced to easy clean one, it wasn't very pleasant to sit in the living room at all, luckily there is a patio door we could keep open; also, who has a carpet flooring in the the toilet and bathroom- it's 2026 not 1976! the strong air freshener made it worse. Garden is lovely but so unloved and neglected. On the positive note- lovely places to visit nearby so we didn't have to sit indoors.

A property urgently needed updating.

There were several windows that would not open.

The french door from the Living Room had to be lifted to get it open. We were not told whether we needed to water the plants in pots in the garden when the weather was so hot. I now find TV's difficult to operate when all I want to do is watch terresterial TV. The tap in the kitchen was dripping, I tried to report this but they would not write it down unless I had the booking reference, so the tap continues to waste water. On the positive side, it was quiet and not too far to travel to facilities. Found the property easily. There is a garden that you can sit out in if you want to enjoy the sun. There is shade at the bottom of the garden on a patio and there is an outside summerhouse. My daughters found the utensils they needed to cook. We had no issues with the beds or other aspects of the property.

2nd visit to property homely and in lovely quiet village perfect for exploring the local attractions.

We had such a lovely stay at Byeways.

Such a peaceful area. The bungalow was very clean and tidy. The garden was a wonderful place to sit to see all the birds. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked again later in the year.

Comfortable bungalow, except for the double mattress which needs replacing.

It is hard and the springs can be felt . This has been commented on before and needs rectifying.Otherwise an enjoyable stay . Toilet window lock doesn't work so the window doesn't open

The bungalow we couldn't fault but you can see this is managed by a company as there was no personal touches on arrival, it didn't even have the basics like salt / pepper / vinegar / kitchen towel and the anti bacterial and and washing up liquid had about 1/4 full.

We arrived late due to traffic so with no condiments our tea we had brought with us was plain. The kitchen is well equipped but the cutlery / plates are basic and nothing matches apart from that the kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms are fine again nothing really matches and the small bedroom only has a coat rail not a wardrobe probably due to the size or the room. The front room is nice but my wife caught her foot in the beading at the front of the chair that was sticking through and hurt her arm when she fell off due to her foot catching in the beading and still has the bruises. Think they need to look at replacing the chairs and maybe sofa. Bathroom and toilet room looked rather dated but worked fine. So we also didn't have any hot water when we arrived as it had a boiler but no one mentioned to us we had to turn it on when we arrived so couldn't wash up after tea on our first night....

Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay unfortunately the freezer broke down and was reported to the agent but they were very slow to respond resulting in wasted food and no freezer all during our stay

The house was lovely and clean, beautiful surroundings and very peaceful.

Beds were a bit too hard. Only real criticism is the WiFi, terrible. Even after ringing twice the speed was very poor, to the point you couldn't watch tv through freeview. A shame the owner doesn't sort because everything else is good and when the weather is rubbish people rely on the Internet.

A lovely bungalow in a quiet position on the edge of a friendly village.

The surrounding countryside is excellent walking country. The driveway is steep, and we were glad it was not icy whilst we were staying.

The only thing was the bins . Someone was putting their empty wine bottles in Byeways bins after the bin men had emptied them . We only had a bit of paper in the recycling bin , when I went to bring them in , the paper had gone but someone had filled it with wine bottles! After they had been emptied! We Don’t drink Wine ! !

We had a lovely stay in Byeways very comfortable and everything we needed, the summerhouse was nice but needs a bit of tlc as the door doesn’t close properly and also the door to the garden from lounge catches but otherwise a very lovely bungalow

The bungalow was lovely, the area was lovely and quiet, the neighbours were very friendly, only disappointing point was the build up of dust in the living room when we arrived, there was no welcome pack, ie, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, good job we brought our own tassimo machine because the last thing you want to do after a four hour drive is find a shop.

Other than that it was all good, information booklet was great, shame the previous occupants left glass bottles in the paper/ cardboard bin,

It would have been good to have the Dyson cleaner working it does not seem to charge and was previously mentioned weeks ago in the visitors book.

Drive too steep for us to get the bin down.

Good cooking equipment and kitchen. Double bed mattress old and very uncomfortable.

All good except tv remote poor.

Replaced batteries but remote a bit worn out. Poor shower water pressure. Comfortable bed and seating and excellent kitchen. Very peaceful. Drive very steep and difficult to turn at the top. Excellent position for visiting area and Lyme Bay Winery just up the road which should be mentioned in the description. Pity no welcome pack, not even milk! Also no dishcloth or any instructions for appliances.

Lovely bungalow in wonderfully quiet location.

Took a while getting used to the layout (kitchen one end and lounge the other) but no probs. Loved the front and back gardens - great views from front. Would have liked another TV in either the kitchen or the main bedroom. Other than that we had everything we needed. Would fully recommend

This was one of the best holiday properties we have stayed in The bungalow was extremely comfortable and equipped with all facilities that were required to make a easy to enjoy break Clean and very quite Fabulous location for getting about We will definitely be going back

Lovely comfortable bungalow in a beautiful countryside setting.

Could do with a little maintenance but was nothing that detracted from the holiday. For example bird table fencing etc. Would definitely visit again

Lovely bungalow nice garden, village location, everything you need and an extremely comfy bed.

The bungalow was excellent the location is excellent the only problem is the rear garden is not secure for dogs but could be made secure easily.

Very handy for several seaside resorts. Just as the pictures online. Very comfy and pretty garden with a summer house to enjoy as well. A great stay.

Excellent property, this was our 3rd stay and hope to return next year
