What guests are saying
not worth the money - better accommodation available for less in west bay.
spacious but soulless flat, filthy windows, tatty sofa, dirty saucepans, bath doesn't drain, no welcome items and flat needs air con. such things have been noted by previous occupants yet no remedial action taken by the owner. would not return, even if the price were 50% cheaper. finally, why should we remove your bed linen before departure?
A bit more information on where the refuse is, we could not find it, we used the local bins outside to get rid of our bins from the apartments, there was also confusion about where to leave the bedding and also the towels, so we just left them in a pile in the corner of the bedrooms, also the furniture is very dated and also the apartment needs a refresh, but overall we were pleased with the accommodation and the location.
The apartment itself was genuinely lovely, but unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by several practical issues.
The arrival instructions to access the car park were incorrect. When we eventually located the designated space, it was no bigger than a postage stamp — squeezed between a metal grid on one side and a post on the other. After driving 300 miles, discovering that the space was essentially unusable was incredibly frustrating, and we had to park elsewhere because it simply wasn’t accessible for any normal‑sized car. Once inside the apartment, we then noticed that debris from the balcony above had fallen onto our balcony. There was also a drop of around 7–8 inches from the living room down to the balcony, something that had not been advertised. For anyone with mobility issues, this makes the balcony inaccessible — my husband was unable to use it at all. We also discovered an unexpected issue with the television. I know you don’t go on holiday to watch TV, but with the World Cup starting we wanted to watch a match that was on ITV. Unfortunately, the living‑room TV didn’t have ITV available as a watchable channel, which is surprising for a mainstream station and disappointing given the timing. It’s a real shame, because the apartment itself was lovely, but these issues significantly affected our stay.
