The kitchen is well equipped except for a lack of plates. The bath and shower were fine although it was hard not to get the floor very wet. A bath mat was provided, as was a tea towel and plentiful bath towels. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating. It is near to walks and the town where there are many cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as supermarkets and independent shops. It is very near to the bus garage where you can go to many lovely places.

The cottage was built in the 1860s and is therefore compact and has steep stairs. The window in the main bedroom didn't open so it got very hot but you need to keep windows closed to reduce traffic noise. Plenty of channels to watch on the TV except BBC 1 & 2. There is no room for a washing machine and no drying racks for beach towels or wet clothes. There is a washing machine at Morrisons. There is communal space outside but it wasn't clear where we were allowed to sit so we didn't use it. It says in the info pack that there is parking outside. This is for 1 hour only. We got a parking ticket. Very few spaces round the corner but Park Road was ok and a car park is very close. Freezer compartment needs defrosting and fridge is small and wobbly. The dials on the cooker can't be read. I think the hinges on the bathroom door need tightening. Apart from these small niggles I enjoyed our fortnight's stay very much.
