1 The Old Posthouse
Description
Perfectly placed in the heart of Lyme Regis, The Old Posthouse is a bright and welcoming first-floor apartment offering stylish coastal living just moments from the town's shops, cafés, restaurants and seafront. Set above the town's Post Office and the popular Waffle House on Broad Street, this spacious retreat combines the character of a period building with fresh, contemporary interiors, creating an ideal base for couples, families and friends looking to explore the Jurassic Coast.
Accessed via internal stairs, the apartment opens into a light-filled open-plan living space where high ceilings and large windows create an airy Scandinavian-inspired feel. Soft neutral tones, whitewashed finishes and subtle coastal styling enhance the sense of space, while comfortable seating provides the perfect place to unwind after a day by the sea. The adjoining kitchen and dining area has been thoughtfully designed for relaxed holiday living, offering plenty of space to gather over leisurely breakfasts, family meals and plans for the days ahead.
Sleeping up to six guests, the apartment offers three comfortable bedrooms. The principal double bedroom benefits from an en-suite WC and hand basin, while a twin bedroom provides flexible accommodation for children or friends. A third bedroom features a 4ft occasional double bed, complemented by a family bathroom with both a bath and separate shower cubicle. Thoughtfully equipped throughout, guests can enjoy WiFi, a TV and gas central heating, ensuring a comfortable stay whatever the season.
With the very best of Lyme Regis on your doorstep, guests can leave the car behind and enjoy easy access to the town's independent shops, cafés, restaurants and popular family-friendly sandy beach. Spend your days fossil hunting along the Jurassic Coast, wandering around the historic Cobb Harbour, taking to the water on a boat trip, visiting the Marine Aquarium or exploring miles of spectacular coastline along the South West Coast Path. The nearby Town Mill, with its working watermill, artisan studios and galleries, offers a fascinating glimpse into the town's heritage, while Dinosaurland Fossil Museum celebrates Lyme Regis' world-famous prehistoric past.

What guests are saying
Lovely accommodation smack in the middle of Lyme Regis - you leave the flat and you're in the middle of a bustling village.
Tesco two doors down, delicious waffle restaurant on the ground floor, plenty of cafs, fossil shops and artists boutiques on the same road. The flat has three bedrooms! Adorable decoration. Very functional galley kitchen. Highly recommend for people who love to be in a central and busy part of town, and enjoy the noise of life just outside the window.
There was no information book to help us know what to do with the rubbish, microwave would have been useful.
The WiFi has a lead to the hub that keeps loosening and therefore WiFi connection was lost quite often . Loved the space, crockery, beds comfy. Early morning deliveries to shops and late pub makes for quite a bit of noise. The inner door after the post office door does not lock and we felt it was a security risk that could be easily rectified . Thanks to the local office for providing us with the hairdryer that was missing. Overall great position for a stay in the town but some points for consideration to future guests.
