The location was really convenient for the town and close to plenty of places to eat. It was great to have the option of taking flat walks from the property to access the seafront. The house was clean, well presented and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The on-site parking was a real bonus.

In a great location, close to shops, cafes, pubs and of course the beach. Really wanted this to be our go to house for holidays in Lyme Regis however for a family with children for a week’s long stay, the lack of a washing machine was difficult to overlook. Had to send time, and money, going to the launderette part way through our stay. Also for a week’s stay, more than one bath towel (and a pretty small bath towel at that) each would have been good. Can’t fault the property or the location but for a family, a washing machine is a must have.

I would point out that it is clearly stated on the property listing that there is no washing machine in the house, unfortunately the age and size of the building made this impossible during renovation. “We were delighted with our stay and felt the owner had put much thought into furnishing and equipping the cottage so that we would have everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday.”

We had a problem on arrival as it was not clear that the keysafe is on the outside of the cottage not outside the garden gate. The latch on the gate needs attention, and we thought at first that we needed a key to unbolt it. If directions included a statement that the keysafe is the left one of two on the back wall of the cottage, and that no key is needed to enter the garden this would have saved a call to the agents!!

“We stayed at 17 Mill Green ahead of my father’s funeral, and its location next door to my parents’ home made a difficult few days much easier logistically.”

The property is modern, well laid out and comfortable. It was clean and well presented on arrival, easy to access, warm during the day and having the dedicated parking space was a real bonus in Lyme Regis. Communication and check-in were straightforward and efficient. The kitchen was very well equipped and the welcome bag of goodies much appreciated. A small suggestion would be to provide a few extra blankets in the winter months, as it felt a little cooler in the bedrooms at night for some of us. We also found it slightly unusual that there wasn’t a recycling option available. Overall, it provided a comfortable and well-located place to stay when it really mattered to us.

The house was newly renovated, spotlessly clean and it had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The garden was secure for our dog and the car parking at the bottom of the garden is so helpful with young children and luggage to unpack. It is only a 5 minute flat walk into town/the beach. We are going to return to this cottage every time we are in Lyme Regis - just perfect. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time and we are very grateful that the the property is available and we were able to use it for very short holiday. We will definitely be back to Lyme Regis as we had such a fantastic time, and the property is a large part of that. It was very close to everything we needed it to be close to (eg the dinosaur Museum) annd obviously the beaches et cetera. The recommendations inside were also perfect because we found swim on day one and that was that for us. All in short we had such a lovely time and we will definitely be back.

“Wonderful location.”

Newly refurbished with new kitchen, en suite and bathroom. Totally redecorated. The only criticism we would have is that the conservatory/dining room became too hot to use during the day. Possible to eat comfortably in kitchen with bar stools. No shade in the garden so needed umbrella or some shade. Loved it so much we’ve booked with you for September. The dog loved it.Wonderful walks straight out of the cottage up the valley to Uplyme. A real home from home.

The only extra we would have liked would have been a garden umbrella to provide some shade in the lovely sun-trap garden. The welcome pack of local goodies was a lovely touch. The location was perfect - far enough away from the centre of town for some peace and quiet, but within a 5 minute walk of everything central. It was so useful to have a parking space at the back of the property, with a gate to the garden making everything very accessible. The house itself was beautifully decorated with quality fixtures, fittings and bedding, making for a very comfortable stay. Lyme Regis is a gorgeous town, and well-placed for visits to a range of lovely places - Sidmouth, Branscombe, Beer, Lulworth Cove, the Seaton tramway. A fabulous week away!

“We had a lovely week and weather was on our side.”

The cottage is well appointed and well situated for walking to shops, restaurants and sea, also to the walk to Uplyme. The parking at the back of the property was very convenient and hassle free. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in a cottage! It has all been tastefully done and very cosy. The enclosed garden was great for our dog. The only thing missing is a washing machine which you might need if staying longer, but otherwise this is a real lovely cottage.

Beautifully decorated, stylish and cosy, the owners have thought of everything you could need in a holiday home. The garden is completely secure so our dog had the freedom to potter about and the parking space is a real bonus in Lyme Regis. Great communication via the agents (we smashed a small pot and were told not to worry) very easy access to property We would love to return and would definitely recommend.

“This cottage is fabulous.”

My husband and I spent a fantastic week here. The cottage is very well presented to a high standard. The decoration, style and furniture provided a 5 star stay. On entering the house the fragrance was welcoming and fresh. The house was lovely to be in and so comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable along with the pillows; an absolute must for a 7 day stay. Both bathrooms were clean and high end. The kitchen was well stocked with the required accessories and the kitchen itself was contemporary and well styled. The living room was perfect for an evening in by the TV. The window seat great for watching passers by. The conservatory was great for breakfast. We had lovely weather and spent a lot of time in the garden. This was well landscaped. Great furniture, bbq and lots of fabulous little lights all round the fences which looked gorgeous in the late evening. We visit Lyme every year and stay in cottages. This cottage is a must, we had such a lovely time in this very calm and peaceful house. It’s a lovely short (10 minute) walk through the cottage lined road to the seafront. There are many great restaurants, cafes and bars. Lyme Regis has a great atmosphere, is so relaxing and a place my family feels so happy to stay. I recommend this cottage and will definitely stay again. I wouldn’t change a thing, a perfect holiday.

The cottage has been sensitively refurbished in a cool and contemporary style to a high standard. The owners have thought of just about everything for the comfort of guests. The sunny fully enclosed patio garden was a bonus to enjoy the afternoon sun and the dedicated parking space is a massive plus in a part of Lyme where this seems uncommon. The property

A beautiful Grade II listed cottage enjoying a quiet position in the heart of the much sought after old town area of Lyme Regis. The nearby river walk provides a level and picturesque walk alongside the River Lym and past the historic town mill to the shops, restaurants and seafront. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. With the benefit of off-road parking this really is a wonderful holiday home -from-home and the ideal place to enjoy all that this unspoiled seaside resort has to offer. Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!
