    “Loved the property, loved the style & layout of the house & the garden was beautiful, with a stream at the bottom!”

    I enjoyed watching the wildlife. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials, including a washing machine & dryer! A lovely hamper was on arrival with local gifts of fudge, biscuits, juices, tea & coffee, very thoughtful. The bedrooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. The location was fab and near the centre of Lyme Regis & the beaches.

The property

This delightful cottage is situated in the much sought after heart of old Lyme Regis is just 5 minutes walk from the seafront with its beaches and the superb choice of restaurants, pubs and independent shops. Refurbished to a very high standard the property has been sympathetically modernised whilst retaining its original charm and features including an open fireplace with wood-burning stove. A wonderful feature of this fabulous cottage is the garden which has at the bottom a raised seating area above the River Lym. Perfect for sitting and enjoying some alfresco dining or enjoying a glass of wine. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. The family friendly beaches are easily accessible from this property where you try your hand at some of the water sports on offer or a spot of fossil hunting amongst the rocks on the shores for fascinating creatures preserved in the rocks. The town itself offers great family activities including an aquarium and two museums, or for keen walkers, head further afield to visit Golden Cap or the pretty seaside villages dotted along the South West coastal footpath on this scenic stretch of the Jurassic Coast. This is an excellent cottage from which to enjoy a traditional, relaxing, seaside holiday. Please note: Supervision will be needed with younger children as there is a small drop from the garden to the River Lym. A maximum of two dogs are accepted. LYME REGIS

Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent.
There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
