The cottage is tasteful and extremely well equipped.

The owners had left a truly wonderful welcome pack of local treats (thank you!) and some really friendly and helpful information. The narrow lane it's on does have people walking past very close to the windows and people opposite sit level with the upstairs window also at the back it's almost communal the way the little gardens are laid out. So not a location for anyone wanting to have much privacy. But great if you want to be very central to Lyme in a sweet little traditional cottage. And traffic free. Our only suggested improvement would be to have some extra bedding as we were too cold to sleep during an unusually chilly late spring visit and there was just one quite thin duvet on each bed. And hard to be environmentally friendly with no opportunity to recycle any waste.

Lovely little terraced cottage nestled close to the artisan area of Lyme Regis.

It is beautifully furnished, beds were comfortable and the amenities provided were everything we needed. We enjoyed morning coffee on the garden terrace, and loved the location that is quiet yet close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Instructions for access and parking were good and the welcome goody bag was a lovely touch. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Lovely, warm little winter cottage.

Loved my stay at 30 Sherborne Lane. The wood burner stacked and ready to use was a treat and woken with morning sun streaming in through windows overlooking River Lim. Thank you for the goodie bag. All in all, Lovely!

This is the second time we stayed at 30 Sherborne Lane, loved it.

A charming cottage in a peaceful location right in the middle of Lyme Regis.

We particularly enjoyed the garden with its rooftop views.

One tip for future holidaymakers - the parking permit is in an A4 frame on the bookshelf - unload at the end of Sherborne Lane when you arrive, grab the frame and you can park for free in Woodmead Carpark up Hill Road. Splendid croissants and sourdough bread at the Town Mill Bakery !!

We had a wonderful week at 30 Sherborne Lane!

The location in the heart of Lyme is just perfect away from roads and traffic but with everything on your doorstep. The cottage is very cosy and with comfortable beds and good quality linens. There’s everything you need and a lovely sunny, south facing terrace. We hope to be able to stay here again in future!

Our only major criticism was that the oven didn't heat to over 150 degrees. We like cooking so this was a bit of a major problem. The oven needs fixing.,

Gorgeous, quiet little cottage.

Access to a car park permit. Some lovely facilities have been considered in case of wet Lyme days including a TV helpful for toddler TV choices e.g YouTube. Listing states steep staircase and no stair gate. However single child bed is beside a plummeting staircase- which was so much of a concern I had to keep our son with me and make my husband sleep in that room. The cottage is set to 17c and to override it meant climbing up a cupboard above the staircase. Fine for us but could be tricky for some. Buggy entrance is tricky. Back door is easier. All in all though it was a lovely space with a wood burner that took the edge off at night. Would stay again.

Cozy, comfy; felt like home away from home.

We regularly holiday in Lyme Regis and this cottage was the cleanest and most comfortable that we have stayed in.

The double bed had very good quality linen provided. We slept so well that If the gulls hadn't woken us up early in the morning we would have missed half the day. The kitchen was very well equipped and the welcome pack was lovely. The stairs may be a little steep for some but the handrail was sturdy. We look forward to staying at this cottage in the future

We loved the cottage, especially the patio area.

Perfect location.

I have marked lower for cleanliness as the downstairs carpet could really benefit from a clean.

Our socks ended up black from walking around downstairs. I have marked lower on facilities and maintenance as the shower has low power, presumably due to the hose leaking from the shower output. This may just be a washer which needs to be replaced. Very nice touches with biscuits, handsoap and a bottle of milk being left. A final negative would be the pillows, which are all very 'thick' and very uncomfortable. I used a folded up t shirt instead, but would just bring my own next time.

We had a lovely return stay at the cottage.

Just one point to note the smoke alarm upstairs may need a battery change as it went off at 6am the other morning with obviously no reason as to why as we were all asleep, so it may need checking if faulty.

Very nice cottage in easy reach of high street and beach.

Our only tiny gripe is that for the odd evening when you might decide to stay in a slightly bigger Tv would be good, but if the weather is fab it’s much nicer to sit by the sea!
