    “We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Coombe Street despite having only decided to do so only 48 hours before arriving.”

    Although we didn't know Lyme especially well the straightforward directions guided us to the key collection point, property and parking without any difficulties. The very generous welcome pack was much appreciated especially as we arrived quite late. The location is great and was ideal for us given that we were attending a Folk Festival event at the Marine Theatre. Although the property has a great deal of character given its obvious long history it was is beautifully presented and ...

Although the property has a great deal of character given its obvious long history it was is beautifully presented and furnished. Just a few points to note: 1. Some of the mugs could do with replacing due to chips on their rims. 2. The manual was missing instructions as to how to turn the boiler on for hot water. 3. The router needed re-booting on a regular basis for the network to appear on the wi-fi menu. But, all in all, a lovely and memorable visit. Thank you.

The property

Apartment 1 44/45 Coombe Street is located in the centre of the picturesque seaside resort town of Lyme Regis, Dorset. This charming apartment, built in the 1600s, features high ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and textured, white-washed stone walls, all of which are expertly blended with contemporary furnishings, a well-appointed kitchen, and light, airy bedrooms. Along with its convenient location near the beach and the town's many shops and pubs, the cottage's two large bedrooms and overall layout make it an ideal spot for a family to spend a few days together on the Dorset coast. After a day at the beach, you and your family can return to your holiday rental and relax in the spacious living room before preparing a home-cooked meal to share in the dining room. Cuddle up on the plush sofa and enjoy a family movie night in front of the Smart TV; the electric coal effect fire will set the mood. When bedtime rolls around, you can leave the kids in the fun twin bedroom while you freshen up in the bathroom, then prepare for another exciting day at the beach by getting some sleep in the double bed. If you don't feel like cooking during your stay, The Lyme Bay restaurant or The Oyster and Fish House run by Mark Hix are just a short walk away and offer delicious food and drinks. Spectacular views of the English Channel can be seen from Lyme Regis Beach, while the Lyme Regis Museum showcases local history and fossils. The Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium offers interactive feeding sessions that are fun for the whole family, and the Marine Theatre is a short walk and hosts lots of live shows and events. The Jurassic Coast is a sight to behold, and towns like Seaton and Charmouth provide convenient access to this natural wonder via the South West Coastal Path. The famous Chesil Beach, Nothe Fort, the SEA LIFE centre, and the RSPB Lodmoor nature reserve are all located in the nearby town of Weymouth. Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast are easily accessible from Apartment 1 at 44/45 Coombe Street.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind.
